Not so comfortable or helpful
Reviewed By SimplecolinjamesStrange to see this place getting mostly good reviews because our experience was not great. Sure it’s a great location and being Japanese it’s clean. But that’s all the positives· Our “apartment” had two single mattresses and two single beds crammed into one room. Yes, it sleeps four technically but it’s not relaxed to be so crowded together. The mattresses on the floor were very thin, so I felt like I was trying to sleep on concrete! The duvets were short and made even shorter by the weird sheets fitted around them so my feet were sticking out. All of that amounted to two bad nights’ sleep. The host, who smelled strongly of alclogol when we arrived, seemed confused about how to operate the heating — after a few false starts he eventually showed us how to turn on the heating but not how to turn it off. Later he misinformed us about the ferry timetable (while maintaining there was no need to phone and check). As a result we missed the last direct ferry to Teshima, nearly got stranded on Naoshima and actually had to take a much longer route to Teshima via Uno. Finally he was inflexible about breakfast time. We asked for 9 because we were tired after a long journey. We were told that was too early, why not 8? We agreed to have it at 830. It came at 815. Not a big deal but why ask if there is no real choice?

Reviewed By riohalhallo宿泊は普通のアパート一室。写真の通り。テレビエアコンついてるので問題なし。トイレの度に下に鍵かけていくのは多少面倒でした。海外観光客が多く、2階にスーツケースはキツそう。海外のかたは一階になるべくしてたみたいだけど。 お風呂は湯船ありとシャワーのみのものあります。女性と男性わかれてます。シャンプーなどもあり、部屋からタオル持参です。鏡ないので、手鏡持参のがよいかも。部屋には小さな鏡があります。 朝食は別料金で近くのイタリアン レガロ。 ここはとても美味しくミネストローネおかわりしました。 バス亭は目の前ですが、民営は本数少ないのでアクセスは不便。 でも安いので、バックパッカーとかおすすめです。

Nice clean and romantic
Reviewed By ShukileSuper clean. Huge room with tatami sitting area in the room in addition to the common living-room. Shared bathroom and toilet. And the view is worth it all! The only downside is that the shower is downstairs and a bit on comfortable to walk through the entire house on the way to get a bath. But the hosts are very kind and we had a nice romantic evening.

Nice little Minshuku
Reviewed By thomasnH3821FTI found this place really enjoyable. The owner speaks little English but has made an effort to post signs around to let you know what’s expected. We stayed in two comfortable rooms between us when no one else was staying there, so it was very quiet. Can’t say what it’d be like with others there. There are two bath rooms and we had good hot baths. Only one toilet. Not sure what’s upstairs in terms of that. The living room area is very quaint, lots of stuff in the main room perhaps making it look untidy but it just gave the place character. There are drawings from past guests and so on. Also you can buy cup noodles and snacks by just leaving money in the cup and taking them from the cabinet. There’s also a fridge to keep drinks or milk in. A good plan is to go to the 7/11 on the other side of the island before coming here and bring some stuff. Everywhere was very clean. You do make your own beds, so if that’s something that you don’t like doing, keep it in mind. This is basically like an airbnb in that way. You can do washing there if you need to. Breakfast was decent; toast, egg, fruit, yoghurt. Enough to keep us going. Some good coffee too. The cat café was fun, the owner let my daughter play with the cats for free for a bit. Normally it’s 500 yen for half an hour. Lots of kids toys for her to play with too in the kitchen bit. All in all I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The price came to 5000 yen each, 2 adults in each room, she didn’t charge us for my 2 year old daughter. It’s also near some of the house art installations and it’s nice walking around the backstreets. It’s near Apron Café which I totally recommend too.

Reviewed By Serge EMalgré un gérant propriétaire qui ne parle pas un mot d'anglais, l'hébergement est parmi ce qui se fait de mieux. Bien placé sur l'île avec un excellent restaurant à deux pas, des vélos mis à disposition gratuitement, il propose une grande pièce principale avec 2 lits confortables, tv, climatisation, micro ondes, grilloir. Un wc séparé, une salle de bain douche baignoire dans le standard japonais. Tout est en bois, lumineux et deux fenêtres qui donnent dans la rue avec moustiquaire. En zone commune deux machines à laver et étendoir à linge à l'extérieur. Seul défaut et c'est rageant, l'absence de couteau, cuillère car on trouve également la bouilloire avec thé et café instantané et un frigo. Sinon c'est tres calme la nuit et la journée. Bref le must.
