A wonderful place with 20th century architecture and a natural surrounding.
Reviewed By mauricemI3706GDIt is a nice place. Surrounded by beautiful trees which makes it a natural environment with an amazing 20th century architecture that matches the surrounding perfectly. The food is nice especially the Malawian cuisine. The rooms are neat, spacious and standard. However, you may find some furniture (chairs) to be so basic particularly in the meeting rooms for those on business trips. It's altogether a wonderful place and one that will always come to mind when you think of a break from the bustle of town life to a relaxing and natural environment.

We are looking forward welcoming you at Pakachere! Please make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment! We only open half the lodge, because we want to guarantee that your bed has not been slept in for at least 24 hours. Of course we sanitise and clean the rooms after every visitor. We only accept a small amount of visitors, to keep physical distancing easy. Our lodge is a laid-back meeting point for international volunteers, locals, tourists and backpackers. We invite you to come and have dinner or a drink, spend the night in a tent, our dorm or a private room. In our common areas and our garden you will meet Malawians and people from all over the world traveling through Zomba! We offer Paka Tours; from guided walks up Zomba Plateau to airport transfers and trips to Mulanje, Liwonde, Cape Maclear or even as far as Nkhata Bay. Our local guide Isaac is a gem. He knows the area very well and can tell you all about nature on the mountain and the culture of Malawian people. The owners are happy to share their extensive knowledge of the country. If you are just arriving in Malawi, we offer a landing package with an airport transfer, information about the country (money/ATMs, transport, places to visit, dos & don'ts), a local SIM card & a Malawian G&T, soft drink or cold 'green' (beer) on arrival at our lodge. At the moment our restaurant is open every day from 7AM until 8PM.

Manja Lodge offers executive accommodation at the foot of Zomba Plateau. The Lodge is within walking distance to important services in Zomba Town. Our restaurant is historic; built in 1933. Modern rooms with stylish showers, luxurious king size beds and lounge and a serene garden environment make your stay memorable. Enjoy excellent services, accommodation and dining experience at a bargain price

Reviewed By ttdreadA 6 room lodge in a beautiful garden location. No 5 star, but great restaurant. Menu breakfast included with room. Lacked basic amenities like ac, phones, cable, micorwave, & ice machine. Wooden bed frame with too thin pad was really uncomfortable for my 11 days. Room service was good although you had to got tell them since there was phone in the room. Watch out for housekeeping leaving your windows & doors open when they clean so you won't have a mosquitoe party & lizards at night even with the net over your bed. Staff was friendly & helpful. Food was delicious.

Wadonda Suites are located in a low density, low lying area of Old Naisi at the foot of Zomba Plateau, off Old Naisi Road (Old Naisi By-pass). It is a magnificent and elegant place for executives and researchers that require quietness to work and think of business solutions and novel ideas in a very relaxing atmosphere. It serves the top-end of the hospitality industry in Zomba City.

Reviewed By ivoberningI stayed in Wadonda Suites for almost three weeks. It was excellent, very nice rooms, a good bed. In the morning a good breakfast, much choice and in the evening a very nice card that is made by the kitchen. Nice people who will help you, in the bar, in the restaurant and by the reception. I will come back in november.
