Amazing experience!
Reviewed By wendelaf2019Me and my boyfriend stayed at Guest house Qaldea for two nights. It was an amazing experience! They where very friendly and we felt very well welcomed. It was good bedrooms, a living room where we eat together with the other guests. The food was delicious! The bathrooms were clean and the shower had warm water. The horse riding was really the best, friendly horses and beautiful scenery with the mountains and cosy village. We really recommend this place!

My impressions from the Miranda guesthouse are mixed.
Reviewed By an3piFirst the good: You cannot ask form a more hospitable person than Elizaveta, who with her husband owns the house. She is attentive and caring, making you feel at home, and her Russian is proficient. Breakfasts she prepares consist of good local dishes and she adjusts them to you requests. As for the house, rooms are Spartan but clean. On the eastern side they face the famous Lamaria Church and the tallest snow-covered mountain of Georgia. Simply beautiful. Now the bad: The guesthouse is not really located in Ushguli. It is in Zhibiani, a small community. This practically means that if your driver drops you in the center of Ushguli, you have to carry your luggage almost a kilometer over a hill. There is also a problem with lamps at night. The owners have installed high efficiency bulbs, which do not work when electricity fluctuates, and it fluctuates frequently. Expect that you will have only candle light in the bathroom at night (see a picture). Yet the biggest problem is Miranda, owners’ daughter after which the guesthouse is named, who is designated to communicate in English. Unfortunately, she treats guests with disdain, as if they were unruly children at school. She was rude and, for example, told us not to complain about a broken toilet cover because it was difficult to repair (see another attached picture). Fortunately, Elizaveta took care of the problem the next day. Altogether, I hope that the Miranda guesthouse will be very good in the future.

Best Guest House I stayed in on the Mestia-Ushguli trek
Reviewed By Phil_767Leila's place was by far the best place I stopped in on the trek from Mestia, the guest house was very clean and the food, dinner and breakfast was lovely. I arrived soaked and cold from the trek and it wasn't long before Leila's husband got the cha cha out which quickly warmed me up, me and another guest spent time in the kitchen with the family whilst Leila prepared dinner which was also a really nice experience. The only thing I regretted was not stopping another night and doing a hike from Ushguli.

High in the mountains
Reviewed By Giedrius GFirst of all we liked the owners hospitality. Room was basic as all the rooms are basic in this kind of mountain villages, but clean and equipped with private bathroom. In the morning we had a pleasure to taste a fresh home made local svanetian cheese and a great matsoni. We'd like to stay here again if we ever be back to Ushguli.

Reviewed By MegamitchificationOn our way to Ushguli we stopped here. Upon our arrival we were served coffee and cakes. We had an excellent vegetarian dinner with soup, potatoes and salad. The area is very quiet and the air is fresh. Wifi was working well and communication in english was easy. We would highly recommend staying here!

Reviewed By DtaylorhWe had a wonderful stay at Villa Lelio. Ushguli is so unique and breathtaking. This is a remote village and we were pleasantly surprised by our stay here. The hotel is run by a local family and everyone was kind and welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and warm as it got quite cold at night. Breakfast and dinner were included in our stay and were great. Dinner was huge with a large variety of Georgian salads, soups, dishes etc. I'd definitely stay here again if I returned to Ushguli.

Unsrupulous and shame
Reviewed By 176zden_ksWe booked our stay in this hotel from 16/8/2021 till 18/8/2021 via booking. On 15/8/2021 at 4.43 p.m the owner send me a message, quote: "Please cancel your reservation as our hotel will not be able to receive guest." Cancellation fee according to booking terms were 69 GEL. In further conversation the owner informed us that the situation arose from "unforseen trick". So I posed 2 questions to him: 1. What does it mean "unforseen trick"? and 2. Why I should pay the cancellation fee while the problem is on your site? I never received an answer and instead of that I was labelled as "most difficult". I believe this manner is simply unacceptable and uscrupulous. So if you to deal with someone serious go somewhere else. We had a wonderful stay ať hotel Tekla.

This place is as crappy, as the scenery is worth the view
Reviewed By Raymond HDuring the first nights we were asked if we would like to have dinner at their place. Since we have travelled quite a bit prior to arrival we agreed. What a pity. For GEL 20 each you can have good dinner around the corner. After a disappointing dinner, we went to bed, the comfort of the bed was so-so at maximum. Even though we had a luxury room. The difference between a regular room and the luxury is a window to the outside world, normal rooms don't have a window! In the morning, for breakfast we were served pasta, French fries, rice and so on, we have experienced having these dishes for breakfast more often in Georgia, however, not with such poor quality. Good thing though, upon request the bread was changed from 'western factory style'-bread to fresh Georgian bread and the eggs were fine in the morning. With four rooms, there were two cabins containing a toilet and shower. The shower makes everything wet, including the toilet. During the last night we stayed at this place, another couple booked the 'comfort room', meaning one the cabins was shut down for the three other rooms. We were happy to leave the day after. The staff arranged a marshrutka for us to Mestia, we agreed GEL 150 for the whole car. However, we picked up some other people and then the price only got higher, instead of the share for us to become lower. In general, this place promises more than it is able to provide. The staff doesn't speak any English, although promised on our booking website. To conclude, it is way too expensive. You don't pay for what your get here. Move somewhere else instead.

Хороший гестхаус с прекрасным видом

Номера новые с удобными кроватями и очень тёплыми (что важно) одеялами, все очень мило, на тумбочке даже стоит свечка (что очень важно). С террасы отличный вид на деревню. У хозяев есть все возможные животные - собака, лошади, козы, овцы, свиньи, куры и т.п Все они пасутся вокруг гестхауса . Гестхаус стоит на самом высоком месте, благодаря этому является самым видовым местом проживания. Все новое, чистое и опрятное. Есть место где поставить машину. Утром хозяйка покормила вкусным завтраком из местных продуктов за 15 лари с человека. Минусы: Сложно забраться на машине на гору, где расположен гестхаус даже после серпантина который перед Ушгули. В унитазе сильно шумит вода, так как постоянно течет. Вечером перебои со светом, все мигает, как стробоскоп, в помощь свеча с тумбочки и фонарики на телефонах, или можно сойти с ума Нерегулируемая вода в душе, невозможно нормально помыться - либо кипяток/либо холодная Ночью было холодно - тёплые одеяла спасали Нападение домашних животных: утром нашу машину окружили свиньи и начали со всей силы!!!! тереться/чесаться об неё, тем самым поцарапали бока машины.
