Amazing service

Reviewed By Faysalhaddad

After 30 years decided to visit the old Country , after debates where to stay we picked Beit Al-Wali for its location . The rooms were very clean , food was excellent and front desk was very accommodating . Damascus have an issue with rolling power outage however Beit Al Wali had 24 hours power and Wi-Fi . The room had a safe and the water was pretty hot , as for the Breakfast which was included was amazing crazy , included every Syrian breakfast dish under the sun , pretty pretty good . This staff are very trustworthy I left 4000 Dollars under the pillow forgot to leave it in the safe and forgot to place do not disturb sign , well when I got back noticed they cleaned the room so I thought kiss my money goodbye since 4000 US Dollars is a lot of money in Syria , amazing thing the money was placed under the pillow I mean I could not believe it . This place deserve 5 stars all day .

Top notch traditional Syrian hotel.

Really stunning hotel! It starts as just a door off a non descript alley then you descend a few stairs through the foyer in to a beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs, a garden and fountain and two resident tortoises. If you're lucky you'll be greeted by the lovely Lauren and Joelle who will look after you, take care of your bags and see you to your room which surround the courtyard. Your room will be traditional in style, stone walls, natural tile floors, carved timber wardrobes and tables. Truly luxurious and and beautiful. The bathrooms are marble with all the amenities, strong hot water and fluffy towels. Rooms have huge beds, air conditioning and reasonably priced mini bar (with booze). Highly recommend.

and amazing country.A while back I was lucky enough to stay at the Damascus at the start and finish of my trip and have to say that Raymond and his friends could not have been kinder, funnier or more informative (even if the dancing was a tad dodgy and I did'nt get my whirling dervish !! ) Syria was a country full of surprises, steeped in history and with the friendlliest people I think I've ever met. I can't recommend it enough but until it's safe for everyone to return my thoughts and prayers are with you, inshallah.
