Reviewed By Leza ADefinitely the most beautiful stay in the hear of old Damascus. The Damascene authentic feeling makes you feel like a true tourist. Very clean and great service. The location is also great, walking distance from downtown.

Reviewed By leila lThe hotel is really old and needs renovation, but the views are absolutely amazing and the breakfast is great. It's suitable for one to two nights stay only to explore the surrounding area. Near the hotel there's a local market and a really old church and a very beautiful restaurant called Suriana, it offers Syrian food and its view is amazing especially around sunset.

Reviewed By PhoenixTheSyrianIf you want to spend a few nights at a nice hotel in the heart of Lattakia, choose Al- Samman Hotel. It's not for leisure or relaxation. The rooms are clean & decent. The breakfast is average & you can have it in the terrace. Staff are nice & friendly. WiFi is great. I believe they need a larger elevator.

spotless, good internet and helpful stuff
Reviewed By ThomaLamEven if you do not expect a lot in the aftermath of a civil war, this little inexpensive hotel manages to cover all basic needs in style, thanks to its great, hardworking stuff. Room was spotless, internet good and uninterrupted those three days I stayed at the hotel, breakfast (included) was basic but tasteful and in good quality and quantity (cheese, yogurt, different kinds of olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, butter and local pita bread) and most importantly, people working here will go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Reviewed By elcheffe2010Dieses Hotel gehört der gehobenen Kategorie an und liegt inmitten des Universitätsviertels von Damaskus. Die Fakultäten der Wissenschaften und der bildenden Künste liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der Busbahnhof (Ziel Amman/ Jordanien) ist nah bei. Hier bekommt man auch Sammeltaxen nach Amman. Die Auslaenderbehoerde ist ebenfalls in der Nähe. Des Weiteren gibt es einige Geschaefte in unmittelbarer Nähe (keine Boutiquen, sondern eher für den täglichen Gebrauch). Restaurants sind fusslaeufig erreichbar. Das Hotel hat zwei Zimmerkategorien,und zwar Einzel- und Doppelzimmer sowie Suites in Form von Einzimmerappartments mit Kochgelegenheit. Übernachtung mit Frühstück ist Standard. Der Frühstückssaal ist im EG hinter der Rezeption, wo es auch nachmittags Kaffee und Co. gibt. Abends wird es in ein Restaurant umgewandelt, in dem es u.a. westliches Essen gibt, wie z.B. Kalbsschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat zu ca 5 EUR. Alkoholische Getränke werden im Hotel nicht angeboten, aber in der Nähe gibt es Liquor Stores, in denen man sich mit Alkoholika versorgen kann. Übernachtungskosten belaufen sich je nach Saison auf 50 bis 70 USD. Kreditkarten werden nicht akzeptiert, wohl aber Fremdwaehrungen wie Euro. Das Hotel bietet einen Shuttle Service zum Flughafen für ca 10 EUR. Der PKW (Kia) war neu und der Service eine Erleichterung.
