Great location between Shimbashi and Ginza. Hotel publc areas but we had a room on a low floor with noise from the trains. Smell was a little stale also. Room small. However, you don't visit Tokyo to stay in your room.

Thanks to the recpetion staff who allowed us to stay in the lobby until 10pm as our flight was late. P Masson

Good location

The best thing about this hotel is the location as it is excellent. Our room was clean but cramped. The room and the hallways felt dark. The staff weren't that friendly. There was no flexibility on the check in/out times. Fine for a one night stay.

Totally unacceptable and outdated

Reviewed By WorldTraveler639

This hotel recently changed ownership and the reviews are all positive, so we made the mistake of assuming it would be ‘new’. The condition of the room was not acceptable. The bed was lumpy and the pillows were literally falling apart. The stuffing was half missing and what was left was clumped up into little balls inside the pillow. We asked for them to be switched and received new ones that were just as bad and impossible to sleep on. Everything looked and felt OLD. Other issues: -Coffee, tea and amenities are available at the front desk, which is good, but the front desk staff stares at you as if they have a problem with you taking anything when you do try to grab a coffee or shampoo. -Hotel rooms are small in Tokyo (totally fine, this was our 6th time in the city and we're used to it) but there is no need to clutter a tiny room with a massage table (why???), humidifier, extra robes… simply make these items available at the front desk for those who need them. -If you are arriving by public transport, do a lot of research before and do not trust the map they provide. The train and metro stations cross at this stop and you need to search for the exit from JR, not the metro, to get to the hotel. -Checkout is at 10am (we travel regularly and have never seen a hotel demand extra payment to checkout at 11am.)

Very very small

Reviewed By C8322OGericw

This has got to be one of the smallest room I had stayed. I shifted to this hotel after my work trip as it is a lot more affordable. But, it's so small that I could not open up my luggage. I had to put my luggage on my bed in order to open it up. Basically, everything is small in this room. Wardrobe. TV. Dressing table. Toilet. But, this hotel provides a complimentary bottle of mineral water in the fridge. Breakfast wise, if it comes inclusive, it's not buffet. Only the drink bar is free flow. The breakfast selection (if it's inclusive in the room package) has only 4 sets to select from. Taste is ok. If you can't read Japanese, this hotel is not recommended. Most of the written items in the room are in Japanese. The hotel is less than 10min walk to Shimbashi station. Surrounded by many eating places. Staffs are very friendly though.

Really disappointed with my stay

Reviewed By lizm12016

I stayed 4 nights and even though I am generally very happy with APA hotels, this one left me feeling extremely disappointed. Starting with the positives: *The bed was soft and comfortable, combined with a really soft duvet. It was enjoyable for a good nights sleep. *The staff were friendly and as attentive as they could be. *Location. Supermarket and Family mark just downstairs and a 10 minute walk to the JR station. Very close to Tokyo and Shinagwa. Now onto the negatives: *The cleaning. I have never been in a hotel where the rooms are so dirty. My first room was so dirty I complained. They were shocked and told me after 2 hours they could change my room (5pm, as check in is 3pm).. I was disappointed to see that the second room was similarly dirty. There were dirty smears all over the panel by the bed that controlled the lights - in BOTH rooms. This included dried white smears and thumb prints. These finger prints were also found on the tissue box and remote control. There were also sticky marks all over the desk (All these marks I was able to spray and wipe away). The amount of dust in the room was surprising too, caked on the bed head and the window sill. I must note though, this was in both rooms. *Storage. I understand that hotel rooms in Tokyo can be small, but they generally have somewhere to put your suitcase. It makes for a very crowded room that there is no space for luggage; the bed touches 3 walls so it can't fit in there... *The walls have severe scuff marks from wear and tear and show signs of neglect. *The lift. The amount of time you have to wait is frustrating. there is a high amount of foot traffic and only one lift with no stair option. It really gave vibes of being a seedy hotel. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again - not for hygiene reasons. If they could improve on the cleaning, I would consider because it was a convenient location - 10 mins walk to JR station which was close to Tokyo and Shinagawa - found it very local for moving around!
