Amazing location

Reviewed By WillemRW

The location of this hotel is amazing. It’s in the heart of my favorite district of Japan, the Shibuya area. From multiple places in the hotel (unfortunately not my room) you have a view on the iconic Shibuya crossing. The hotel is attached to the central metro station of Shibuya, which is one of the better connected stations in Tokyo; you can be, for example, in Shinjuku within 15 minutes. The front desk is very kind and helpful. The lobby looks good but a point of critique is the fact that the rooms look a bit like they were never upgraded since the seventies. It was clean nonetheless.

What a disappointment. First and last time at this place.

Reviewed By Shlomi T

What a disappointment. First and last time at this place. I come often to Tokyo and I was thinking I would give this place a try. It was a mistake. Check in was fine and I even got an upgrade room. Rooms are very nice and very clean. However, the second day all towels have disappeared from the room and I found myself drying my body after a shower with a hand towel, that is all that I have found. They took the dirty towels but forgot to replace them with new ones. O.K that can happened, I would not X an hotel only for that. Afternoon went down to the area where they have a huge show-case fool of cakes at the entrance to the coffee shop. I asked to buy a few cakes to be put in a box and to be delivered to my room in the next few hours. The answer I have got from the staff: "this is not possible"...! Are you diking me...? In a 2 star hotel they would probably do that service. This is not a service of a hotel that pride itself on service... I try the breakfast and boy... what a disappointment. It is a 4,100 yen for breakfast I would not even pay 1,500 yen normally. Plenty of items on the breakfast, but really very simple and nothing of good quality! Well, maybe the smoke salmon was the only nice item on the menu. The Sour cream and lemons by the salmon were empty for nearly 30 minutes. The staff came to check on it but did not fill it up and I was looking at it for nearly 30 minutes. They came again and again but did not replace the empty bowls... only 2 kinds of cheap juices on selection and all in all it was very disappointing. I would put it together with the Price chain of hotels with the breakfast level. To describe it simply; It is a breakfast with everything, but the items you want to eat... Cheap ingredients and super overpriced breakfast. They can learn a lot from the cheaper, smaller and much better breakfast that the Gate hotels in Tokyo are offering. There, you can enjoy as much as you want a FRESH squeeze on the spot juice, among other great items. Pity.

Room with nice view but also streetnoises

Reviewed By Josgreet1

This hotel is located in the relatively new stream building in Shibuya with many eateries and shops around. Entrance may be a bit difficult to find when you first come and cars need to enter through the basement. Hotel rooms are decent size for Japan with a small couch and beds are comfortable. When you stay in front the view from the room is magnificent. Downside is that in spite of the doubleglazed windows you can hear a lot of streetwnoises. So I wouldn’t recommend this place for light sleepers.

Location is Everything

Hotel Century Southern Tower is in a perfect location, especially for first time visitors to Tokyo. The hotel itself has a business feel and there is really nothing unique about it. It could be a higher end chain hotel anywhere in the world. That being said, the view from our room was great, the rooms were spacious by Tokyo standards and very clean, the service was excellent and, as far as Tokyo hotels go, the price was reasonable . Best of all the location could not be beat. A few minutes walk from Shinjuku train station as well as a number of restaurants and bars. In the middle of the action but with quiet rooms. If we ever return to Tokyo we would stay at the Hotel Century Southern Tower.

Clean, mostly budget family tourists check in here and near the subway!!

Reviewed By BlueMaruki

Nice experience! A food shop, Restos and convenience stores nearby! Safe and good location since it’s literally near the subway (around 5-7mins). The breakfast selection may not be too much of a variety but their soup ingredients comes from their farm so it’s delectably fresh! Still, we loved the convenience of the place. Rooms are clean too! Simple yet comfortable.

Great stay

Whan a memorable experience! The hotel is so different than any other I've been before. Never been in a capsule hotel but I surely fell in love with this one! The hotel staff are very nice and always have a smile on their face. The rooms are quite spacious and very quiet. From reception I received my very own toiletries bag and an Iphone 5 with which I controlled the amenities in the room, such as the lighting. The whole hotel is made in a very modern style and is always clean and tidy. I'm definetly choosing it next time I'm visiting Tokyo.

Perfect location in the heart of Shibuya

Reviewed By HarryTours_Official

We stayed in the EN about a year ago and thus can't comment to much on any Corona related precautionary measures, as it wasn't relevant then. Still they probably would be ideally prepared, as Japanese are usually are. We enjoyed our stay there a lot, mainly due to the perfect hub it represented to exploring Tokyo as first-time visitors. It is perfectly located between the busy and quieter parts of Shibuya and we would recommend it a lot. Of course we have been to nicer rooms, but it was perfectly fine and reasonably priced considering its prime location in of the world's most populous and expensive cities.

Ok Hotel with a Good Location

Reviewed By MsBreeLJN

This hotel was just ok. I was originally going to stay elsewhere, but as this was the the last night of my trip and the reviews for this hotel were quite good, I decided to “upgrade” from some of the cheaper accommodations nearby that I was originally considering. In hindsight, I would have stayed elsewhere. This hotel is well situated, close to Harajuku station, shopping, and restaurants - location is its key feature, and really, it’s only selling point. This hotel was tired and it showed. It’s also tucked away down an alley, so if you know where to look, you may have difficulty finding it. The check in process was smooth enough. The rooms are small, as is expected in Tokyo. Each room appears to have an automated light switch in the main area/entry, but the issue with that is that it does not stay on for longer than a few seconds (so, if you wish to unpack anything, hang your clothes, access the safe, etc., the light is constantly switching on and off). There is also a bright orange light on the counter associated with this switch which floods the room with light all night long. The room I was in was a double room which felt a bit tired & grungy. It also hadn’t been cleaned particularly well (which was odd, since every other hotel I had stayed in while in Japan was spotless). Overall, there are far better options in the Shibuya area for a much better price. I would not stay here again.
