Reviewed By sassie99Booked the female dorm for a night before an early airport run. Its' fine and does what it says on the tin. The hostel was quiet so no atmosphere but not required for my stay. The dorm a little bit tired but sheets clean and a large lockable locker which was helpful as could throw the backpack in when I went for food. Didn't look at all like the pics posted below but I only saw the one dorm. Local food places across the road and the pick up was well organised so no complaints. Rating based on decor really.

Saved by this hotel after a long night
Reviewed By Chillman70I was trying to find another hotel near the airport but the taxi driver was terrible and couldn’t find it. After growing frustrated I finally had him drop me off in front of this hotel at 3:30 in the morning, hoping someone was awake and was generous enough to offer me a room. I probably would have paid a thousand dollars for anything at that moment. Lucky for me they had a room available at a fair price, I was pleasantly surprised - the room was very clean and had everything I needed to unwind after a long journey from California. A/c kicked in strong, wi-fi was good and a little bit comfortable bed. Staff was very helpful about getting me a proper adapter to change my dead phone battery. Although it was a short sleep I was happy to have some coffee and breakfast on the roof top restaurant. Nothing is more appreciated than finding what you need after a long and problem filled journey. In an unfamiliar country, it’s late and dark. This find was a godsend!

Well equipped kitchen (self catering). 300 m away from the Airport Garden Hotel (5 star hotel). Ample space to accommodate 4 (four) persons. Free parking. Quick drive to Free Trade Zone, 30 km to Colombo. 24 hour banking (500m). Half an acre of land close to the lagoon. Cable TV/Free WiFi, hot water.

Reviewed By rajithah2020A superb place close to Colombo and Negombo, rooms were clean, spacious, modern and surrounded with a big garden. Not only that, pool was in clean and excellent condition. Staff was very supportive and helpful. Highly recommended place for a stay.

Reviewed By rritzueeOne of the best small lodgings I have stayed at. Host Mr. Perera is best possible host you can meet - he came personally to pick us at 3 am in the morning to the airport. Rooms are nice - go with the right expectations of a family guest house and you will be delighted. Location is superb - just 10' from the departure terminal.

Amazing family owned hotel
Reviewed By victormS2055IXI really enjoyed staying at this family owned hotel. Nice and calm atmosphere with great/clean rooms. The family who owns the hotel are great people who are Nice and Down to earth. The food is deffently worth a try. Its so good! The mother of the family is an amazing cook and it was the Best Sri Lankan food experience i have had here!

We got to decide the time for breakfast and when we sent a message to the owner after waking up he immediately put up the breakfast. Very easy and nice stay after long flights!

I was the ONLY customer in the whole of the guest house and was put in a room with most of the bathroom items broken/working poorly: sink and plug, towel rail, shower-head, erratic hot/cold water. The manager and assistant (whose English is poor) couldn’t grasp the idea of checking a room is ready BEFORE the customer arrives. Before leaving, I tried to have a rational conversation with both of them but they simply got angry and wanted their money: 3,800LKR per night excluding food. When I agreed to pay the final bill, the assistant claimed to have no change - a usual trick that 3 wheeler drivers play on tourists. He threatened calling the police when I returned the compliment. A sad end and an excellent way for customers to never, ever, return. The room itself was actually ok and the AC works, but it had a "universal controller" so the only function that work are: on and off. Their approach to customer service is: don't fix anything until the customer tells you they are broken. I tried nicely to get into their heads that this isn’t good enough. When I visited the hotel a few days before, to check the rooms, it was claimed that the bathrooms were 5 star hotel standard - lol! Try one of the several OTHER guests houses on the same road.

Reviewed By CuzzabearI booked this place before reading any reviews on here. I was arriving late into sri lanka so just wanted somewhere near the airport that wasn't a total dive for my first night. By the sounds of it your experience can go one of two ways at this place. I was lucky and my 'deluxe double' room was exactly that - large four poster bed, aircon, tv, a huge balcony and plenty of storage space. For the record that room was no. 10 so try and book that one if you can! I was served a western breakfast in the morning. For people new to Sri Lanka a western breakfast = brightly coloured jam spread on as much white toast as you can eat! This hotel is good, just make sure you request a balcony + aircon (and get confirmation in writing) to ensure you get a good room. They also do airport transfers for about $7-10.
