Seafood, Onsen and caring staff

Reviewed By cranapple5

The hotel is across from Sakaiminato JR station, about a 50min (cute) train ride from Yonago. The area has one of the largest ports known for snow crabs and all sorts of fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan. Visitors enjoy the crab markets in the area and seafood restaurants on a street with the theme of comic creatures by Muzuki Shigeru, a famous cartoonist from the area. This hotel itself was amazing. It was spotless, and every details from Ikebana flower arrangement to comfortable room with all sorts of amenities made us feel welcome. For foreign travelers they had a handout in English explaining their system. This enabled the foreign guests take full advantage of what the hotel offered. The top floor had natural Onsen hot spring baths with water so soothing to the skin. All necessary amenities were prepared by the hotel. The breakfast was known for create-yourself-Chirashi sushi and all the spread at the buffet with Japanese and western foods. Again the seafood here was so fresh. What made this hotel so special was the staff. Their hospitality was genuine, and showed they care. They made us feel like we came back to a home away from home. Definitely worth the experience.

scooby doo....

We went in October, which for the area is a quiet time,so the hotel had a skeleton staff and areas unused were unlit, mainly certain floors which lent its self to a very scooby doo/serial killer convention vibe, creepy as hell...tho for a roof over your head for a few days its good. some online pics are misleading...on one site theres a billiard table but reality makes u step back alittle.

Wonderful stay!

Reviewed By Tiffany L

Stayed one night in this clean, well organised, conveniently located, and very comfortable hotel! Stayed en route for ferry to Vladivostok. Arrived by train late at night so did not have the option to eat at their restaurant but was well recommended. Hotel amenities are great and very comfortable bed. The top floor onsen was a welcome surprise - fully equipped and very clean. Hotel staff were very helpful for local recommendations and organising taxi to ferry port. Wish had more time to stay at this hotel. Would highly recommend!

Outstanding value

We booked this place because it was cheap and were very pleasantly surprised. It is perfectly clean, comfortable and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We had the downstairs Tatami room which has a mini terrace and opens to the garden. Shared bathroom and toilets are impeccable. Breakfast at the cafe next door is 500 yen. ???
