Jamie and Dylan, the managers, are great people, always there to make you feel welcome and make your stay as comfortable and friendly as possible. incredible and unusual architecture and well-equipped kitchens, spacious bedrooms and beds. we had planned to stay 5 days, we stayed a month with the desire to settle there. Book your stay there without any doubt or hesitation

Reviewed By astrokateThe room was what you'd expect to pay $20 for, but it was $40. The main reason we went with it is they were the only ones who would answer the phone. The room was a bit stuffy, since the window opened into a hallway and there wasn't A/C. We were there in January - can't imagine how warm it would be in April. We were the only guests there as far as we could tell, so there wasn't someone behind the bar, but the security guard was always there to open the door and sell us water, etc.

Hotel Julieta is surfers and trekkers stop and go hostel. Trekkers on their way to or from Ometepe Isla and other attractions or destinations stop for a night or two to rest before going on the road again.Surfers on their way to or from Playas Popoyo y Gigante Stop & Go... many neat programs like (1) the Immersion program which includes an associated nearby Spanish School for class room work and planned activities which offer planned activities and local trips where guests practice and learn daily use Espanol.... also, The Winter Rainbow program for retired single men who want a caregiver or companion to help them along in living abroad full or part time.
Very basic, adequate for the price
Reviewed By rtw123This is a very basic place - tiny room, communal shower. But, the place is clean, it has excellent Internet, and the owners are super welcoming. Would recommend to stay there for a night layover in Rivas for someone who's ready to step outside of Holiday Inns (not that there are any in Rivas anyways).

Woke up with a long line of drips from the ceiling
Reviewed By collineUkwe found this place where the staff were not so keen to help us when we arrived and tried to over charge us until we showed them the booking. The first morning we woke up to find a huge leak in the room which was running down the wall and asked for it to be sorted for the next night. We were unfortunately left in omptempe island so were not able to stay the night and when we asked for a reduction due to the leak the first night it was refused. The location is not good to the main town and the area not so great as everything shuts early for food and when we went to speak people they said its dangerous to walk on that road. The street food chicken was what we had in the end and the food in the restaurant which was not that great.

Sunset hotel is located in San Juan del Sur, Rivas. It offers its clients a calm, friendly and the shore of the Bay of San Juan del Sur cardholder. Sunset has 3 single rooms, 1 double, 2 premium and suit. also have satellite cable service in every room sky. Be a pleasure to serve you!
Not a very nice place to stay
Reviewed By Launa SThe service was lacking, some staff was friendly enough but not all. When we first arrived they tried to put us up in a tiny room at the back with no windows, it felt like a dungeon. Thankfully I brought a copy of my reservation email that showed the room that I booked which was supposed to have a "lovely ocean view". We still did not get our paid for room but we did get one a little bigger than the original one we saw but it still did not have any windows except in the bathroom. We were promised toiletries but there were none, no towels until the second day even though we asked twice, even then we did not get any replacement towels at all. Toiletries finally arrived on day four. There was a beer cap on the stairs leading up to our room for our whole stay so not much cleaning done. The pool is tiny and you can only sit on one side, the other side is against a wall. Another family took over the whole pool so there was no room for us many of the days we were there. We paid a hefty price and would not stay there again.

Reviewed By 384julietPlease avoid - dishonest & bad owner! I wish I read the TripAdvisor reviews first 2.5* I booked this property via Agoda during low season. You can arrive in town and wander the town to negotiate prices during this time but I’m on a short trip so I didn’t. When I arrived he said he doesn’t recognise online bookings and hasn’t done this because the commissions are too high. I gave him the benefit of the doubt (perhaps this is true, internet admin a little late? and Nicaraguans are struggling with the lack of tourism at the moment). I emailed Agoda to let them know that I ended up paying more than the listed price & that I probably would have stayed elsewhere knowing the price in the end. You can find far better value around town (literally next door) with better rooms! Unfortunately I found out later that the stories surrounding Agoda is untrue. He basically just scammed me to overpay for the room and told Agoda I had never checked in. When he did the initial conversion US$ to Cordobas he shortchanged me a small amount and when I left a day early (I just didn’t feel comfortable at the property), he shortchanged me quite a bit more (I read an earlier review that he didn’t refund someone because they checked out late, but I gave him ample notice & was early). Please don’t ruin your stay in Ometepe by staying here!
