The Hume Hotel is a full-service Nelson landmark originally built in 1898 and is a must-see part of your trip to the area. We just completed a 12-year renovation. All floors have been renovated beautifully, maintaining that heritage charm that it is known for while incorporating modern technology. Centrally located, the property includes the Aura Spa & Salon, General Store Family Restaurant, Mike's Place Pub, the Library Lounge, the Liquor Boutique and Banquet Facilities. Overnight stays in any of the guest rooms include a full hot complimentary breakfast in the morning made to your liking. This hotel is full of history, character and amazing staff.
Nicely renovated historic hotel. Parking is 100 feet away in a Parkade without an elevator. Library bar great for food or a cocktail. The pub is excellent. 3 levels, tvs, pool tables etc and better than typical pub food with a good atmosphere. Spirit bar downstairs hosts concerts etc so if you want a quiet night check the schedule first or ask for a room on the 4th floor.

Their website does not give this view justice..the mountains and the marina were breathtaking, so peaceful and relaxing The hotel was easy to find, plenty of parking, and the staff was pleasant. We ate breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious with great service.

We love the location of this Best Western, right at the foot of Baker Street with all the little shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is so friendly here and the room was beautiful, large with a king bed, fridge and microwave. Everything was clean and fresh. The bathroom was quite small, but updated with newer tiles and a deep tub. We really enjoyed our short stay here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ski getaway to Whitewater which was largely due to our welcoming and comfortable stay at Alpine Suites! Our room was super comfy and had all the amenities that we were looking for! Location close to the restaurants and ski hill was also a bonus! Sylvia, the front desk receptionist, went above and beyond to keep us informed of current ski conditions and was super flexible in our accommodation requests! Thanks so much Sylvia, your willingness to help will play a big part in why we will select The Alpine Inn and Suites as our accommodation of choice when we visit Nelson again.

Nestled in the heart of Nelson’s historic city centre, The Dancing Bear Inn is the perfect ‘home base’ for travellers in search of backcountry adventures & authentic mountain culture. Our refurbished character estate is warm, charming, friendly — and has everything you need to feel at home.
Comfy beds, good kitchen and common areas. Great location in the centre of town so everything is easily walkable. The staff are great, in particular Cindy who was excellent and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good stay. It would be good if the kitchen had a freezer.

Although our heritage-listed building dates from 1900, Cloudside is a totally new hotel right in the heart of Nelson's historic downtown, offering stylish, contemporary alternative to standard accommodations for the discerning traveler. With just eight guest rooms (three of which have two separate bedrooms), we offer a high level of personal service and attention to detail. All of our individually-designed, modern rooms have private bathrooms, high-speed Internet access, refreshment facilities with fridges, HD satellite TV, a/c and individually controlled heating.
I stayed here for 1 night on a solo trip on my first ever visit to Nelson. Be warned that parking in Nelson is a nightmare - there are 4 parking spots behind the hotel which can be tight to get in to if you have a large vehicle. I was warmly greeted by Chris who was very friendly, helpful and informative. I stayed in the Aspen room which was perfect. The room was immaculately clean, and the bed was sooooo comfortable. My only complaint is that the blind at the window doesn't filter the light out so I was awake as soon as it started to get light out (I'm a terrible sleeper). The floorboards are a little squeaky, but then it's a heritage home, so not totally unexpected. I loved the old fashioned radiators - even though I didn't need to use them (open window and ceiling fan for me!). The bathroom had everything I needed, and again, immaculately clean. If I ever return to Nelson, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - it's a charming little place. Oh, and whoever wrote the guidebook for the hotel has a great sense of humour lol.

Located in the heart of downtown Nelson, The Adventure Hotel brings a modern, euro-style aesthetic to the heritage capital of British Columbia. We’re the perfect base for your next tourism adventure like amazing skiing/boarding, mountain biking, zip-lining, hiking, water sports and a free round of golf at Granite Point with each paid night. For the not so active Nelson offers several galleries, heritage tours, micro-breweries or just lounging at the beach. Whether it’s upscale casual dining in Louie’s Steakhouse, catching the game with friends in The Uptown Sportsbar or a morning pick me up at Empire Coffee The Adventure Hotel has it all under one roof. Plus, all guests have access to our guest lounge, rooftop patio, gym and infrared sauna.
Agree that this property is unremarkable. The bathroom is weird with a glass door that offers no privacy and there was no heat in our bathroom. The “fireplace room” had an inexpensive electric fireplace in it. The rooms are noisy over the pub and the hall noise is loud too. I think this is trying to be a boutique hotel but just misses the mark. The coffee in the AM was just ok. However, the glimmer of light is the excellent coffee shop next door.

The Villa Motel is located right by Nelson’s Orange Bridge, with views of Kootenay Lake and the surrounding mountains. It is ideally situated away from Nelson’s city noise with plenty of free parking while being a close 4 minute drive to Baker Street.
The owner was EXTREMELY helpful & accommodating and staff are very friendly and courteous . Our truck broke down and we got towed to this motel. I can’t say enough good things as we were here for over 2weeks waiting on repairs (older truck). The rooms are very clean ,the kitchen is cozy, it is a one bedroom suite with 2 double beds Would highly recommend this motel as it is quiet, has a great mountain view and close to downtown so no city traffic noise As an added bonus there is a great restaurant with Canadian and great Chinese food just steps away
