Reviewed By DanO68The Best Western BK has become our “go-to” hotel for overnight transit stops at Auckland airport. Located only 5 minutes away, it’s an ideal location for a quick overnight stop. The free airport shuttle picked us up and whisked us to the hotel where we were quickly checked in. The rooms are clean, basic, and comfortable. We always get a good sleep here. For food, there is a small shopping complex just up the road about 5min walk. We generally have a good meal at Indian Express. I don’t think you’ll find a much better spot for overnight transit stops. Highly recommended.

Communications and request for credit not refund
Reviewed By Pioneer622021I made a booking for 2 rooms on Sunday, same 10 days checking in today. I am in Melbourne Australia, due to the border closures I asked if I could amend the dates. I have had dreadful communications with this hotel. I managed to amend 1 room and after today I have to cancel it due to more lockdowns announced. I realised the 2nd room booking I made at the same time, was quite diff and had a no change/cancel rule. I have begged the hotel to offer a credit but they refuse, assuming they keep my money and can sell the room again. They say its not up to them, contact Booking.com There is no reason why they can't return the money they have for a room I can't use. They can waiver if they chose too or offer a credit. Booking.com say the hotel have the payment, so it is up to them. Agoda (partner??) is involved and they also say its up to the hotel. We are only travelling home due to a sick grandmother, so has been incredibly stressful. Hotel has no level of customer service or dignity in dealing with issues. I have asked for returned phone calls and emails. I wish I could give a better rating experience and I do this very hesitantly. I have left my phone number again today.

Gladly This was at 11pm He obviously thought it was funny. I did find good agreeable accommodation shortly after so no problem Avoid places like Airport Kiwi Motel where they don't like you and stay where people are welcoming

Advertised free WiFi which basically only worked properly if you stood in the carpark, metal inserts on my room's door where it had either rotted away or been previously kicked in, had to go to reception to ask for a heater. Free shuttle was the best thing. Paid NZ$179

Reviewed By Olchap1Hotel is of poor standard,needs renovation asap ,lives on the fact it’s local to the airport,charge’s far too much for the rooms . Rooms are tatty,furniture would not be taken by the local charity shop. Restaurant is like having school dinners,menu is limited,although I did enjoy the curry. Bar has absolutely zero atmosphere.. Can’t wait to get out of here

Reviewed By ChristinaH352Stayed here overnight (second time we have been here). Good location for airport and motorway north and south. Room really clean, looked recently renovated. Everything we needed for an overnight stay. Considering what we paid I thought it was good value as most other places near the airport were far more expensive. Will definitely stay again.

Very good hotel
Reviewed By HoppingOnAPlaneI stayed for an overnight stay and the hotel was perfectly fine. I stayed due to Air New Zealand delayed their flight TWENTY HOURS and needed somewhere last minute to stay. Air New Zealand did not offer me accommodation (I’m still in shock). All the major hotels were booked out. The hotel surprised me. Beds were super comfortable. Bathroom was clean. The room was clean. Their airport shuttle wasn’t working so they booked myself and others Ubers to international airport. A lot of hotels would’ve left you to work this out on your own. Reception was lovely to me and very quick. Reception area was very clean too. Downsides were: - they had milk sachets in their fridge and they were off and stunk. That was really bad :/ - the furniture is not modern and new but the hotel is a cheap, 3 star hotel. I don’t know why some people walk into 3 star hotels assuming everything will be perfect. There will be some faults. I was pleasantly surprised though and this is a solid 3/5 hotel. I’ve given it four to boost up their rating, as they do not deserve this low rating.

Reviewed By Karla KIf I could give zero stars I would. I called to try resolve an issue with my card, as advised by Booking.com email to contact the hotel directly. The lady on the phone was rude, abrupt, talked over top of me, wouldn't answer my questions, raised her voice. The conversation escalated and I hung up after calling her customer service appalling. She refused to let me speak to anyone else. I called back to speak to a manager and was told they weren't a available and was hung up on. I called again to ask WHEN they would be available as I wanted to make a complaint. The lady was yelling raising her voice and ranting at me. I ended up emailing the manager who was equally unprofessional. Accused me of abusing his staff which is completely untrue. I was frustrated but not abusive. He refused to acknowledge my complaint about the staff members conduct, kept turing it back to me and the issue with my card (which I have no idea about as I provided the correct details and had funds available etc.) This company DOES NOT take responsibility for their service or behaviour. It is the cusotmers fault and they can do no wrong. Very sad attitude especially when they are likely struggling in the current climate of covid and increased costs etc. You'd think they would be customer focussed but sadly they are not. As is evident by the MANY reviews saying the same.

Great Stay before COVID
Reviewed By Sarahgibbins6visited in January before COVID stuck in 2020. Had a pleasant stay for 2 days. Hae just come back to New Zealand and wanted to stay here but found out its being used as Managed quarantine faiclity so staying up the road from here.
