Does not meet expectations

So the positive things first: - Staff is super friendly, attentive and efficient - Very quiet at night - Everything is clean and more or less new This hotel is located in the middle of the island and we thought such location will bring us tranquility and quitness hoping that hotel could offer us everything we need for our short stay. We very much wanted to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy fields however views from all rooms are not that great. It is either the main road or car parking or camping. You can't enjoy the horizon :( Dinner menu is very expensive and promises exqusite experience but did not meet our taste. There are no alternative facilities such supermarkets and restaurants nearby so please check their menu before booking. Breakfast is a huge disappointment in terms of 4* hotel! Nothing to chose from: one type of cheese, one type of meat, scrambled eggs, yoghurt and a couple of deserts. Spa area is tiny and not cozy. Fortunately for us it was not crowdy there but I would say it is comfortable and relaxing there. However it offers the only nice view toward fields. Room looks nice but note the wierd toilet door. It is made of wood and does not cover the whole entrance. So nowhere to hide from toilet flushes. No, I will not come there again.

Wonderful family time
Reviewed By dbrhtSuper nice hotel to spend the weekend. We were warmly welcomed by Miranda who helped us so much (before and during our stay) and made us feel at home! The breakfast was amazing (and a bit different on the second day so we could try more things) and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We strongly recommand this place in a quiet area but with bars and restaurants, not far from the beautiful lighthouse!

Pleasant, but be careful to book a room on the first floor
Reviewed By TravelingCeltWe booked the Superior Studio for one night in April. The suite was large and comfortable. Free parking outside the door. We didn't even have to have contact with the staff, so very Coranavirus secure. With the amount of space available the kitchen could have had more equipment: it only has a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. A dishwasher and a hot plate would have been nice if you wanted to stay for a longer trip. One thing, two of the Superior Suites are on the ground floor and so don't have a view of the airfield as there is a tall hedge around the terrace. Next time I intend to book the slightly smaller Deluxe Suites as I think all of these are on the first floor, with a balcony.

Reviewed By LutitluAbsolutely beautiful room and garden! The welcome was incredible, the owners are so nice! The breakfast is gigantic and delicious! It is worth to note that it is located in an old house so rooms are not soundproof. Being a dog friendly establishment, keep in mind that they will hear what is happening around and mind disturb the other guests. We had an amazing week there, comfortable bed and couch, felt like we were at home, a more stylish home!

What more could you wish for!? Would absolutely recommend and stay again with Norbert and Esther!

Reviewed By norbertwabnigAs you can see on photos, the lighthouse of Texel is just outside the door. You can reach the Ocean in 1-2 minutes of walking,several different restaurants also; and the next supermarket and bakery can be reached in 5 minutes by car. Therefore - Infrastructure is more than perfect considering that you are on an island. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a bathroom, seperate toilet and the room is being cleaned every day.Free Wifi. Breakfast is optional and includes eggs, cheese, ham, different breads, jams, fruits, tea, coffe,..well, you name it, it is there. Frans and Els are very polite, helpful and great people to get to know. We stayed there for 3 nights out of a three week trip through the Netherlands and it was the best place we had seen. If you are interested in photography and/or birdwatching, you will be also pleased to hear that there are great locations all around to do so. Also it has to be mentioned that during our stay we photographed our first night-rainbow. Yes, they doexist, we did not know also. Reviewed By DymfieTwo nights stay as a couple in the low season. We had a lovely time. The room is very spacious, well decorated with a good feeling for details. At arrival lovely little soaps on the towels. Luxury coffee (Dolce Gusto) and good cooking facilities in the room. Good location for all your Texel adventures. Very friendly staff. We got the breakfast delivered to the room. Lovely breakfast with a lot of choice.

Alle accommodaties zijn sfeervol ingericht, gelegen op hetzelfde terrein, voorzien van alle luxe en met rust, ruimte en natuur. Wij verbleven in accommodatie De Slufter. We hadden hier alle ruimte voor onze twee kleinkinderen, onder andere met enkele speeltoestellen op het terrein. Overdag kunnen genieten van een zonnig 'eigen' terras. 's Avonds ouderwets spelletjes met de kinderen. Hoeve Vianen is daarnaast een prima uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes op het eiland.

Prima accommodatie
Reviewed By Connie PEen fijn huisje met prima douche, keuken en goede bedden. Wij zijn samen met onze 3 tieners een weekend op het Eibernest geweest. De ligging is ideaal. De plus is letterlijk om de hoek. Verder kun je door het dorp naar het strand wandelen en met auto of fiets is ook de rest van het Eiland prima te ontdekken. In het dorp zijn diverse restaurants(het bikkelement is aan te bevelen) en een zeer goede frituur. Ook de vuurtoren is niet te ver van het Eibernest. Er is ook goede Wi-Fi en verder was alles netjes schoon en goed verzorgd! Zeker doen dus!

Good location and super nice host
Reviewed By VandisaStayed here for one night and, despite the cock singing at 6.15am, we enjoyed the tranquillity of the location, close by the villages and the sea. We loved playing pool in the evening in the nice atmosphere offered by the (half-italian??) host at the bar :))) Beds are super comfortable, the front-side rooms might be quite warm in the summer, but you can open the window. Really good breakfast served in the morning :)
