Reviewed By AsilbozWe really enjoyed our stay at Tinwald Motels. The motel room was clean and warm. Furnishings were nice, and new. The meals at the pub were really delicious. We would definitely stay there again. One of the nicer motels we have stayed at.

There are not many hotels in Ashburton so we were pleasantly surprised when we stumbled across Taylors Motel. Excellent value for money and everything was new. Well appointed / maintained rooms. A credit to the managers / owners. I would highly recommend to others.

Great spot for your next holiday or if you're passing through Ashburton. We have Studio Rooms, cabins, power sites, backpacker dorm accommodation and non power sites. Set in the lovely Tinwald domain amongst mature trees and overlooking the duck pond. Make your next stop off point
One of our favorite holiday parks in the south
Reviewed By 822gemmarWe took 10 days around the south and this holiday park was one of 2 that we felt we actually really liked out of the 10 we visited. We had 10/10 service from booking to check in, the spot is just beautiful. Nice level spaced out sites, clean and modern facilities, located next to the tinwald domain so playground and duck feeding for the kids was only a hop skip and a jump away. Beautiful spot. We wished we had stayed more than one night! Highly recommend.

Reviewed By 422ianaTravelling from Dunedin to Blenheim and stopped with both of my daughters. Last minute deal for a large room. It was just over $100. Decent, room, had everything we needed. I had to slam the door to close. Happy with the stay, and I would do it again.

Chris the owner is a beautiful person and was so helpful and accommodating, so much so we decided to stay another night ? May you enjoy your time at the Commodore like we did ?

Great for a Night

Hosts kindly let us leave the caravan on site well past the normal leaving time due to the work, allowing me to explore Ashburton while husband worked. Really generous of them. Facilities were clean and the shower was hot (and no extra payment required). Walking distance from the domain and museum/art gallery. Thank you!

Worst experience ever. So rude. Don’t visit Asure motel.
Reviewed By 22SavvyTravelerOwner is the rudest person I’ve ever met. After a flooding in Ashburton left us stranded at 11pm, my partner and I confirmed vacancy with her on the phone. She spoke rudely on the phone stating “do you f*****g know what time it is” to which I replied informing her of the flooding and apologising for the late call. We clarified it was one night, check in now which she was extremely baffled by. Yet, she said she had vacancy and requested my card details. When we arrived, the women was so disrespectful she laughed in our faces while rudely stating “can’t you see how booked out I am” (denying what was said on the phone and acting oblivious). I asked her not to be rude and suggested it was a miscommunication to which she scoffed at and continued to belittle us stating “you want to check in NOW?!” My partner and I will never visit an Asure motel ever again. The experience we had was so upsetting after a very long night and day of being stuck in flooding on the road. I hope no one else has this experience or encounters the women we did. We didn’t get her name but she was a short, pale skin female in her late 50s/60s with a short brown bob hairstyle.
