Was really craving Indian and decided hubby and I would have it as it's been a while since we've had it from here. I must say I was a bit disappointed in the flavour. The punch wasn't there. Not as in spicy because we get mild but just the usual flavour punch was missing. Also the lids on both my meals had come off by the time I got home. Luckily only a little bit had leaked out but it could have been much much worse! Staff were very friendly though. Will still eat here again

Popped in for a quick bite and a drink last Friday night. Good menu selection, it's an Irish bar which serves cold Guiness and a good wine selection. Seating is available outside All round a good experience and I will definitely go back

I recently had lunch during a busy afternoon period. I ordered the big breakfast and a pot of tea. The tea was delivered promptly and the meal within 10 minutes which was reasonable considering how busy they were.Although busy their was Seating available.
The price was reasonable and I can recommend this cafe to traveller and local alike.

Our group enjoyed lunch outside in beautiful surroundings enjoying beautiful food. A choice of menu and cabinet food. Everyone seemed happy with their choice (and some happy to try the choices of others!). Service was friendly but not fast. Good range of tasty dishes. Average prices. Would go again.

We (four of us - two couples) were travelling from Omarama to Murchison - a long, tiring trip on a hot day - when we spotted this Garden Centre cum Cafe. We needed a break and, rather than hazard negotiating Christchurch's roadworks to find an oasis, we turned back and parked at Lushingtons.
This was a good decison. We had a nice brunch and coffee and stretched our legs looking around the large, well-stocked, garden centre afterwards.
I can't claim that we bought anything other than the meal - our luggage for the return trip to the UK would have been inadequate. Nevertheless, I can really recommend this place.

We went out as a family to celebrate a birthday and wanted to try somewhere new for us. The staff were attentive and polite, the food delicious. Everything was clean and there were great views. I can see this being an excellent place to dine outside when the weather improves.
Do make sure you book before hand.

Lovely place for an exceptional sausage roll. Good coffee and great service. They have a quirky store for shoppers and fabulous outdoor Seating out in the New Zealand country side. Shame about the tip top truck Delivery guy who arrived, parked out front and left the engine running with compressor screaming to spoil the ambience.
