Reviewed By NamankrI really love this place. They have tried their best to keep this place clean. They are located near metro station. They have laundry (paid) and iron facilities (free) for the guest. They also provide kitchen facility for guest where on can cook and eat (they have refrigerator and cooking utensils) You can even play with their dog "Gaga" she is super super cute and friendly.

Common areas and cafe were great
Reviewed By Rozaine sJust stayed here over the last weekend. I stayed in a 3-room female dorm. Overall, the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room is air-conditioned, there's also a window but no fan. There are lockers downstairs at the lobby which are within sight of the front desk (need to pay a 20yuan deposit and some other cheap fee). You get the key from the front desk for the lockers downstairs. There is also a locker outside the room itself, but you'll need your own lock for this. Each floor has one bathroom and one toilet (separated). Although the toilet is clean, and there's ample toilet paper, there isn't hand soap so oh well, bring your own. Laundry is a little expensive, at 12 yuan per load (and they wash it for you, you just hand the laundry over to them at the front counter). You can dry it (30 yuan) or hang it outside yourself but when I was there it rained almost every 3 days haha. The factor that made me give it 5 stars was the common area, where you can sit until whatever ungodly hour you want for work and is well-ventilated and open. No complaints about the wifi. There are a couple of common areas, but the cafe and the common area just behind the cafe are both open to the garden and the alfresco area. There are plenty of electrical points to plug your stuff in. The cafe is pretty nice too. There is a supermarket just across the road from the hostel, where you can also find an array of restaurants (such as this one Buddhist vegetarian restaurant). There's a halal la mian place somewhere around, and there is a bunch of really nice cafes and an art gallery (the OCT- LOFT area) behind the hostel. The nearest metro stop is Qiao Cheng Dong (侨城东, line 1) which is a ten-minute walk or so from the hostel. Overall would stay here again if I came back to Shenzhen.

Helpful staff and superb location
Reviewed By Bart KI stayed for two nights at Catalpa Garden Youth Hostel, where I had pleasant stay. The staff is very helpful. I had to reach the airport early in the morning and the staff helped me to reserve a taxi. I could check out at night, and the taxi was waiting for me at the right time at the right spot. All perfect. I stayed in a three-bedroom dorm, which was basic and decent. The sheets were clean, lockers can be found in the room, and the shower in the bathroom provided hot water. The rooms are big enough so all guests have some personal space and can place their backpack somewhere near their bed. Furthermore the room included a big window, so fresh air could come in, with bars in front of it, so unwanted people can't come in and steal your precious belongings. Very thoughtful. The hostel also has a nice roof terrace and room where you can relax, read and/or socialize. It's a nice place to hang out. The location is superb. It's close to a subway station, from where you can go comfortably in all directions. Both Huacheng Plaza (which includes Guangdong Museum and Opera House) and Shamian can easily be reached. I definitely recommend this place and I am pretty sure I will visit this hostel again on my next trip to Guangzhou.

Sunshine Home Hostel is a home hostel located next to Liwan Hu Park in the heart of Old Canton. We - Leanne and Liang - live in the hostel, to provide better service and to ensure 24-hour check-in and the safety of our guests. All our rooms - privates with shared bath and dorms (mixed and female) are equipped with windows and air-con and wifi. Hot shower 24 hours. Tourist Locations: Liwan Park and Lichi Bay - 5 minutes walk Chen Clan Academy - 3 bus stop Shamian Island - 3 bus stop Night Cruise - 5 bus stop Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street - 3 bus stop Shisanhang, Zhongshanba Children Clothes Market, Nanfang Dasha Electronic Market, Jiaokou Flower Market, Fangcun Tea Market all close by. Public Swimming Pool with white beach - 2 minutes walk - 30rmb entrance fee We would be happy to chat with our guests over tea, having some fun drinking beer in the balcony enjoying the beautiful view of the Park.

Wifi was great View from 24th floor is amazing Hot powerful shower Cons: Bathroom was dirty needs a good clean as dose the dorm floor was very dusty.

Reviewed By Chantal CAn impromptu trip to Guangzhou and therefore I stayed at this hostel for a day which turned out to be a nightmare! Despite the convenient location (close to Shamian island), I won't recommend this hostel due to its hygienic condition. - I stayed at a dorm and the next morning I woke up it smelled like hell. The toilet didn't flush. Luckily someone closed the toilet lid or poop would be all over the floor!!! This is the most disgusting experience I've ever encountered. -When I was holding my breath and open the bathroom door, another thing terrified me. A giant spider (Tennis size) and some insects were clinging on the wall. I literally screamed the loudest I could and made my escape and checked out asap. So regardless of the seem-to-be decent common area and lounge this hostel freaked me out and.

Small youth hostel
Reviewed By EverythingBurnsThe hostel consists of a flat with three guest rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a laundry - something which is not necessarily bad. In all, I had a good time here - but I only used it for the more elemental things; for example, I didn't even think about cooking anything as the kitchen seemed very messy with a lot of dirty dishes and the like. . . My pet peeve was some maintenance issues in the bathrooms - could only shower in one of them as the other one did not have hot water, but then, the drain there was a bit clogged so you'd be treading in an inch or two of water from the previous guest. I don't remember ever going anywhere we wanted to visit on foot, but a subway station is near. In fact, going to the airport and the train station was a non-issue because of this. There's also a supermarket next door. It's a nice neighbourhood too. The staff were, in general, very friendly and willing to converse. In some cases, it was hard to tell staff from "friends of the staff" from "other guests". The living room was comfortable and the WIFI was great. Maybe I was tired but I slept quite well here. At least when we went, at a certain hour lights in the main room would be turned off and people would be sleeping, so it was reasonably quiet. The air conditioning was not turned on (ever?) during daytime; so the room was unpleasantly warm until later at night (until "bedtime", basically). Not sure if it was because of the labour day holiday but I was charged 80 yuan per night for a bed in the larger dorm. Could be cheaper (?).

Reviewed By gadzookssalIt was a little annoying to have to be let in the front door ever time, but tolerable as they were quick. But they wouldn't run the air until 9pm. It was too hot to be there so we had to go out. Annoying! They also didn't have towels available when we wanted to rent them. That threw a wrench in our plans. Laundry was only 10rmb, which was reasonable enough. Luckily it was so hot because we had to use our comforters as mattress pads because the ones provided were way too thin. Not comfy. Good showers. Nice view and couches on the balcony. Very nice staff, but I think a few of them were staying in the hostel. This wouldn't annoy me except that they would be in the bathroom a lot when I wanted in.

Reviewed By 空中梦想家lin高档的小区里，青旅环境很干净，掌柜是年轻人收拾的很好 入住前到楼下会有短信给具体位置或者掌柜接人，入住的大部分是年轻人，气氛也算是非常的不错 地理位置位于广州GDP中信大厦附近，临近天河商圈，广州东站，楼下地铁 购物广场应有尽有，交通是极为方便的 作为会员住过民宿很多，虽然这个是家庭式的但是气氛环境加掌柜的热情服务，还是非常值得的推荐的。
