Reviewed By tetikovanFirst hostel I ever stayed at and it was comfortable and cozy. I liked the location, it’s near the railways, so you can actually see and hear the trains go by. Nicely furnished and designed, everything is super clean. You will definitely like staying there. Home-like atmosphere, welcoming staff, snacks, books, and Netflix available! Surely would stay there next time.

We are happy to offer you to stay in USSR Hostel. It is located in the heart of the Bishkek city and on the main road (Chuy Ave 127). We are on the ferry route, so traffic is regular. Food stores, bars, shopping mall, pharmacy, restaurants and post office are within short walking distance. The hostel has everything you need: cosy light rooms with comfortable bedding, free Wi-Fi and friendly English-speaking staff; kitchen with everything you need for cooking: microwave, dishes, refrigerator, fresh spring water, tea and coffee are free. We can organize airport transfer from/to the Manas International Airport (price $15 per car). Stay for 15$ per night per person in the 4-bed room and for 30$ per night per room in the 2-bed private room. Explore our hospitality and feel the USSR atmosphere in our spot. We would be very pleased to have you visiting us!
Absolute murder to find.
Reviewed By astrazenspiderWe paid for breakfast, at present my friend is arguing with an employee over it, we have literature to prove it, not really a hostel, no one present at any one time, only interested in money as soon as you get here, staff are scapegoats, owner not present, go elsewhere if you want proper hostel services. Also had to find locals to help us find the place and phone on our behalf as the person minding the place had little English., no sign to show where it is.

If you come here be ready for a local family, that is happy to show you the real kyrgiz life. You can learn how to cook local food, how to create a whoolen carpet and get recommondations of what to do besides this. It has been also offered to take us on tours, we went to a big waterfall with them. This is the perfect place for you to step into Kyrgiz life.

Quiet hotel in a good location
Reviewed By KNado13I stayed at Amaness hotel for 3 nights last month and it was quite nice, with comfortable beds, air conditioning, VERY fast WiFi, and a good location an easy walk from the west bus station. The internet speed alone would make me choose to stay here again, but it helps that the hotel was so quiet and comfortable!

Reviewed By JasperF368It was almost midnight. We shared a taxi with a small group of people coming from Tash Rabat. And this was basically our first encounter with ex-USSR and Kyrgyzstan in general. We didn't know what to expect and we had no clue where to go. Our travelfriends booked a bed in a hostel, but it was full. One of the girls said: "I've seen this house with a sign 'kostanicha' or something. I think it means guesthouse..." We went there. A large iron gate got opened by a girl who looked at us with an attitude. Little did we know. It was classic sovjet hospitallity. We could stay the night. When the morning arrived we were welcomed with only love and warmth. I think we were sort of the first western travellers they received. In the days we stayed, they started to make us breakfast, they ordered internet, it was truly a great experience. I've been back a few times. Every time they were lovely-er than the time before. It sounds cliche, but it is almost like they treat you as family. Go here, you will love it!

Included amenities: - breakfast in cozy cafe - High-speed wired and WiFi Internet 7/24 - free use of 4 computers in the lounge area - everything needed for making tea and coffee in the kitchen - curtains and reading lamp above each headboard - individual lockers with key - 24 hour security.
THE WORST STAY EVER!!!
Reviewed By 287aselsI do not recommend this hostel at all!!! first of all before checking in we were informing to the administration of hotel to clean the rooms and prepare for our check in, but when we arrived after one week of preparation the administration did nothing for us. for example the room was very dirty everywhere untidy and the floor was so messed up and dust all over the room. Moreover the administration is so rude , whenever you ask for the basic stuff for the room as per our agreement, she was not giving them with kind mind set, always have to ask for toilet paper or just to clean as a room service or just to make a laundry . Moreover was charging us after the 3rd of our laundry, when the laundry must include at least 4 times for a month. Before checking in we discussed that price is does include everything but when we arrived she told us that every time when we will be having laundry we need to pay extra money . We agreed on that as well as long as we wanted our laundry to be washed and clean but the administration was still so bad and having attitude, whenever we asked her to buy for us stuff to wash our laundry she were telling us that it's not her issue or problem so we need to buy ourselves. The service was totally not the one which we agreed on before checking in. We stayed one month in this month they were not assisting us at all! Even no-" good mornings or evenings" wishes. The other day strangers were knocking our door and always opening without our permission, whenever we complained to them to solve this issue and check through cameras she were telling us that we need to solve these issues by ourselves that administration does not responsible for this problems. We got shocked of service!!! Terrible!!! Also the door were broken after few days, and the lock of the dooe they did not change till the time we asked them at least 10 times. and we were asking for the key copies we got only one and the for the rest to get we had no any chance and again the administration was unprofessional and saying that we must copy keys ourselves. I have never been in such a badly very dirty and unresponsible hostel ever in my AWFUL! I do not recommend them at all.

Reviewed By Maxime BWe only stayed for 1 night, but the place had a very homy atmosphere. The owner is very nice and helpful and his English is perfect! Hot water, very spacious and the fact that we needed to check out in the middle of the night wasn’t a problem. He even arranged a taxi to the airport for us!
