Reviewed By Fishing_Dad_27We had a great stay at one of the Villas. The property is very well kept and quiet, but still within walking distance of the fun West Bay area. The Villa itself was extraordinary beautiful and very spacious. It could easily room 6-8 people comfortably. Snorkeling was great! Shout out to Van at the bar who did a great job with the drinks as well. Would definitely come back!!

Reviewed By DBARTHBWe used GPS and went to the spot GPS indicated...No hotel. We asked people where the hotel was. Nobody knew. We called the hotel, no answer. This went on for 70 minutes. Nobody answered the phone and nobody knew where it was. Finally we rang the bell at the house where the hotel was supposed to be. It turns out what looks like a house is the hotel. There IS NO sign outside. The reason there is no sign we are told is that the gangs like MS13 collect money from businesses to "protect" them. This did NOT make me feel safe. They had no explanation why the phone was not answered. The hotel itself is very nice the staff is nice even the included breakfast was good. I just couldn't get over the gang issue.

Reviewed By Travelerbynature01Before arriving the photos looked fantastic, reviews seemed good (true--not sure anymore). The hotel looked to be falling apart and the employees reflected this. Never again.... I could hear my neighbors, rooms in front, everywhere drinking, playing music and talking. Food and drinks were very expensive and not good. Did not like each day at the hotel and would not recommend this to anyone, not even a backpacker.

Located in Sandy Bay,just off the main road on a secluded beachfront area that is quiet and tranquil. The white sand beach parallels the reef and inside the Roatan Marine preserve . Here is a pristine reef system with a abundance of tropical fish and corals within swimming distance from your accommodations Hobbies Hideaway offers affordable prices and a excellent location. Close to West End for the night life,bars and restaurants yet far enough away not to hear the bands at night. Coxen Hole has the new supermarkets and sovenier shops. Best prices on the island just a taxi ride away. $2.00 a person

Reviewed By NWilson11We stayed at hobbies last February and had a wonderful time. Sue was an amazing host and very accommodating. The beach was awesome for our 15 month old. Location was nice and quiet. We hope to return to this amazing vacation home in the future.

There were a few glitches the first few days, but we would call Vacasa and Frank, would be at our place quickly. He dealt with the issues in a professional and timely manner. The service Frank gave us was top notch! The cabana can sleep 6 . It is an excellent house to rent . We were there for two weeks and during that time our adult children plus partners were there for a week. We all loved the place. Facilities were great, kitchen well supplied, and beds comfortable. We especially loved the two screened in porches on either side of the house. The proximity to the beach, dock and snorkeling was fantastic. Location good as we took local buses ,or taxis anywhere we wanted to go. Nice having Salty Mango right next door! Would stay at this house again, no question, especially because you always have Vacasa to call if you need anything. Great little bbq on the porch that we used also.

The Villas are in a garden setting just 250 feet from the beach and private pier at Spooky Channel in Sandy Bay which is one of the best snorkeling and diving areas. The large decks and dipping pool are great for relaxing after your daily activities. Diving facilities, restaurants, and tourist activities are readily accessed from the Villas. Quiet location.

Reviewed By Michelle8184If you visit Roatan, your stay must include Vista Villas located in Sandy Bay. Our condo was well appointed, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Chuck and Nancy, are fantastic hosts. They arranged for us to be picked up at the airport and our driver made two stops for groceries and Chuck drove us back on our departure. Rob, who is a long term renter in the condo next door, took us into Coxen Hole for groceries one afternoon. You simply feel at home. Miles of beaches for walking, the dock was wonderful to take a picnic lunch out and sit. Quiet, serene, beauty. Snorkeling was the best. Will definitely stay again on our next visit to Roatan
