Hotel Palms Tenmonkan

A great place to stay

Reviewed By Maria Anna M

After a long day spend travelling this place looked like heaven to me. Conveniently located, spotlessly clean, with everything I needed in offer (toiletries, PJS, big flat screen and comfy bed). With "only female" zone it felt extra safe and comfortable too. The stuff was great and professional, they clearly explained everything what needed for my convenience upon arrival and when I was leaving they walked the extra mile to make sure that I arrive safely to the next place I was going to visit. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially lone travellers like me. And if I ever visit Kagoshima again I'll book a room there for sure.

Resetting your day, from one day to the next, needs three basic actions: take a shower, sleep, and get yourself dressed. We simply replace these actions with the time spent: one hour + seven hours + one hour. Based on this most straightforward concept of staying in a hotel, ninehours offer ideally simple urban stay unlike any other in the world.

Great as always

Reviewed By ThatStinkyTofu

Located within the same building as the train station. The facility is clean. Shared shower but you don’t shower in front of others. Towels and clothes to sleep in are provided. I’m 5 foot 9 inches or 179cm and the pants fit and isn’t tight on me. I’m 180lbs or 81kg and waist size is 34 inches. The pants still has room for those that are heavier. The shirt they provide might not fit larger people. Tooth brush is provided with tooth paste but no razor. They also provide a shower for those that require a cane or wheelchair. Free WiFi and it’s fast. I can stream Netflix without any bandwidth issues. There is also a 24hr coin laundry about a 10 minute walk. Only downside is if you stay for multiple nights then you are required to check in and check out each day. Check in is at 1pm and checkout is at 10am. The other problem that some might run into is inside the capsule there is no climate control.

At the price, its a good value for staying after a night of drinking, or if you're just traveling through.

Reviewed By プレストン サ

I decided to give Capsule Hotel The Ginza another try after a long night of drinking and karaoke with some friends. At around 3000円 per person, it's hard to beat the price if you're just looking for a place to crash for the night. This time around, I didn't have any problems with the staff. They were all polite enough, if not enthusiastic. That's understandable, as this isn't a place you choose for the customer service. Everything was clean, the public bath was stocked, and the free breakfast was fine (bread, salad, hardboiled egg, and coffee). I brought ear plugs and an eye mask this time, so I didn't have a problem with any noisy neighbors like my last visit. I still have one major complaint that was the same as when I visited last year; the capsules are stifling hot with no fans or other means of airflow. Last time I stayed in the warmer months, so I thought they were just trying to save on aircon use, but this time it was snowing outside and still uncomfortably hot inside. I don't think I would have been able to get to sleep had it not been 3AM after a long night of drinking. Maybe next time I'll just crash in a manga cafe.

Great location....not enough amenities for everyone

Reviewed By Inspire28529644029

The hotel is in a really convenient area and I was able to walk to most places I wanted to visit. The cabin is spacious with a very high ceiling which really helps with ventilation when you are sleeping. The facilities are very clean and they have nice systems in place to keep things organized. They also have an amazing large bath to soak in...a huge bonus after you have been walking around all day!!! However, there is no place to keep your luggage. Most capsule hotels I have stayed at have a locker, cubby, storage area across from your bed or a place to store your luggae underneath your bed. This hotel has none of this. Most people put their luggage in front of their pod and maneuver around it. There is a locked storage area inside your pod and it can fit some of your more valuable items but it is not large enough for bags. The last issue is that there is only one combo washer/dryer. It takes 2 hours for one regular load. I was here three nights and I was never able to do my laundry. There is always a line. Unless you are going to stay and do laundry during the middle of the day, you should not count on this for a laundry stop . I tried once at 4am...someone was still using it. So all in all I would stay here again I would just prepare a little bit differently.

Nice and clean place

Reviewed By Gordie W

Stayed on the main floor in the cheaper dorm. The lobby smelled bad, probably due to shoe storage there, but rest of place was fine. Beds were very comfortable, I slept in the wrong one the first night, was the same bed but wrong aisle.they were smooth about it and me stay there and other guy took my untouched bed. Good value for money I'd stay here again. Locker, towel and robe included.

The Millennials Fukuoka

The Millennials Fukuoka has been implemented on the 3rd floor of The Lively Hakata Fukuoka. Great stay, clean, awesome staff, brand new hotel

I’m a frequent guest at Millennial Kyoto and couldn’t be more delighted to hear that they open a new hotel in Fukuoka. Millennials Fukuoka is in a strategic location close to restaurants, mini marts, and lots of stuff going on in the Area. It’s sparkling clean and well run. Their staff, especially Faith are extremely helpful. I had a great stay and would love to return when I’m back in Fukuoka.

Worst night's sleep

Reviewed By Sue M

Don't stay here if you want a good night's sleep. Yes it has all the luxuries, which you are paying the higher price for but it's too noisy even with ear plugs. The cabins are noisy and the constant shutters going up and down kept me from sleeping. You can here everything going on in the cubicles next to you and opposite. I asked reception to move me and they refused. The smaller hostels are much better in my opinion.

Hotel Cabinas Fukuoka

Parking: 30

It's a slightly up market capsule hotel.

Reviewed By blue13

During a long weekend stay in Fukuoka with friends and with little other choice we stayed at this capsule hotel. The biggest positives are price / location. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main entrance of Hakata Station. It is, as to be expected for a capsule, cheap. We paid just under ¥4,000 for one night. Check in is 5pm and check out 11am. The capsule itself is fine, with your sleeping pod set in rows of 2 - one up / one down. Your privacy is a blind that can be pulled down, but not locked. There was a tiny cold air vent that helped with the temperature. The mattress is thin, but not uncomfortable for one evening. I am 183.5cm and I was just about ok to stretch out fully. There are toilet facilities on each floor, a locker room on floor 2, a restaurant on floor 9 & a bath house on floors 10 & 11. The bath house was quite good with a range of baths / saunas. The hotel also offers private rooms. But these go quickly. There is free wifi which was decent. It's a capsule, so expect noise (tv, snoring and others..) from other pods to be around. Although to be fair nothing that distracted me too much. If you can't find a business hotel then this is fine, but otherwise try to get a room.

Hearts Capsule Hotel & Spa

Great place, great location, supermarket, bar, spa, big social area to relax

Everything you want really. Nice staff, super clean. Comfy. Decent sized capsules.Only a single shortcoming - you have to walk through public area to get from men's dorm to men's toilets / showers. Otherwise would have been 5*.
