Reviewed By RiannesxWe really enjoyed our stay here. Good facilities, beautiful surroundings, extremely helpfull and friendly people, very good food. We stayed 4 nights and also did a three-day hike from here to Petra, organised by Nawatef, which was one of the highlights of my 3 weeks in Jordan! I absolutely reccomend this place :)

Basic accommodation, warm atmosphere and stunning views
Reviewed By Simona PIt is set in a stunning location though bear in mind that the Village of Dana is not exactly walking distance. If you have a car, it's a journey of few minutes to the village and the start of the trails. There are trails around the camp but they are unmarked and we were told that you need a guide (on the subject of guides, ensure you arrange in advance with Dana reserve because the rules change according to the season and during our stay, the trails we wanted to do were not available due to lack of numbers). Though the staff spoke little English (especially the father), they made up with warmth and tons of yummy food: more tea and more food is the mantra there - you won't go hungry, even if you are vegetarian (but let them know in advance if you have a special diet). The tents are basic and there is no heating inside so be prepared that even summer nights can be quite chilly. The night we stayed there was no hot water in the showers (they have a tank so perhaps the water had run out, as the camp was full. The towel provided is minuscule, so pack an extra one. The bedding is minimal (our blanket was without cover or sheet).
