Beit Al Baraka

The highlight of my stay in Jordan.

Reviewed By Christopher H

Beit Al Baraka Is faultless in the warmth of its welcome, its comfortable accommodation, and its excellent food. Staying here has definitely been the highlight of my time in Jordan. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the ruins of Roman Gadara, and has wonderful views towards the Sea of Galilee. The food cooked here for me by ladies from the local village was quite exceptional in the variety of dishes, all of them delicious. Perhaps best of all was the guide that Beit Al Baraka provided for me, Ahmad Alomari, who took me for a wonderful four hour walk through meadows of spring flowers and groves of flowering almond trees, sharing with me his fund of knowledge about ancient and natural history. The walk ended in a beautiful spot, with spectacular views of the Sea of Galilee. I hope to return, but for a longer stay.

Beit Al Fannan

Designed by the renowned Jordanian artist & architect Ammar Khammash, Beit Al Fannan is a beautiful property offering stunning panoramic views of the landscapes of Pella. It was here that Khammash created some of his most significant works, a few of which can be found inside the villa. Its unique atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or creative retreat.

Extraordinary!

Hand-built out of the hillside by local artisans and furnished in a personal, eclectic style, this house succeeds wonderfully as an oasis of peace, comfort and inspiration. It glows with Khammash Ammar's principles and creativity as an architect and artist, and is so welcoming. We were bowled over; we knew about it as a project and a location but it was well beyond our expectations. It was like being allowed to live in one of those artists' houses that have been nurtured as museums, but being invited to touch and use things! We were there as two couples, taking the whole house and sharing the living room, kitchen and wonderful balcony overlooking the archaeological site, where we had an excellent tour guided by two (female) archaeologists who are from the area and work on the site. You have to go; but keep clear of the weekends when we will want to return....
