Excellent desination for large and small parties

Reviewed By kyisin_aung

NSYC and Resort is one of the few destinations in Myanmar which could facilitate large events including conferences, annual staff parties, team building events, galas, weddings, etc for 300-500 guests. Huge hotel compound and long beach front are able to accommodate all types of activities from water sports to beach parties. Hotel staff are friendly and they will greet you with innocent smiles saying "Mingalabar" every time they meet you. They are also very competent, experienced and professional in serving large groups of guests in all aspects, including catering, housekeeping, event set up, and so on. Newly opened "Surf Point Bar & Restaurant", located within the hotel compound, is also a must-go-place to chill and enjoy your evenings while you are in Ngwe Saung. NSYC is only 5-hours away from Yangon and it is a great place to escape the super busy and crowded commercial capital. Highly recommended.

Absolute Perfection

Reviewed By Chrisstore

The most beautiful, isolated desert island paradise that I have ever been to. Sure, it's hard to get to but that's what appeals. None of the beaches across the border in Thailand come close to Wa Ale's beauty. We stayed a year ago and I've only just got round to writing my review. The staff were all wonderful, friendly and genuine throughout our stay. Everyone from the lovely lady in reservations, Chris the owner, the water sports team and all the fantastic staff on the island. Food is absolutely incredible. Due to how remote this place is I didn’t expect it to be this good. The Burmese chef is super talented. We had a tented beach villa – I’d really recommend these over the treehouses as y you have your own stretch of beach. They are beautifully decorated – it feels more like you are at super luxurious Safari camp in Africa. Wa Ale is wonderfully wild and natural. We loved this but it may not be for everyone. A high tide it’s a bit tricky to walk to your room but you can take a buggy. There is wildlife everywhere including Sea Turtles who come up to lay their eggs. This is an ideal place for people who want to experience wild nature but in comfort. It’s completely sustainable and eco-friendly. Not a single tree was cut down during construction. Upcycled wood is used throughout and there are various projects to help benefit the local people and environment. The reefs around the resort are covered in life. SUP and Kayaking is also great! If you are looking for a beach escape but with a bit of adventure then this for you. Such a marvelous place and I cannot wait to return one day.

Tea Story

Down to Earth Cozy Farm Stay

Reviewed By tanyein

Stayed at this place just as when it started launching. There are around 7 tents that you can stay at. 1 bigger tent can fit around 5 people and other tents can fit 3 people. Staying in a tea farm was a first time for me and it was very cool and relaxing. It is not a luxury glamping experience so this place is not for people looking for luxury stays. It is an eco friendly farmstay, where electricity is from solar panels and little things that you see are custom-made and handmade to fit your necessities. Even though they use solar power, there is hot water available and a little clay pot where you can mix with cold water and take a bath if you are not impressed with the low pressure shower. Places like way to bathroom and pathways are also well-lit at night, but there will be no electrical outlets in the tents as for fire safety. So you can recharge your phones at their main building area. Breakfast can be ordered to the staff as they do not have a kitchen but they have a staff of cooks who can cook up nice meals for you if you order ahead. The time I visited was November so it was really cold out but very warm and nice inside with adequate blankets. Overall, I recommend this place to those who wants to get away from the busy city life and just want to relax among the trees with a cup of coffee and a book.
