Reviewed By Lisbeth1601Stayed here for 8 days while visiting friends/ family. Has been a delightful stay all round. Comfy beds and very clean. Close to the beach. Staff are extremely helpful and kind. Felt very safe here as lots of lovely families - all Chilean at the time of year. Fabulous grounds with super clean pool & lots of birds. Totally non- stress & comfortable place to be. Will be back next time we are here....

Reviewed By ObservatorioThis is an inexpensive 3 star hotel just 2 blocks from the main plaza. Very helpful staff. A bit noisy but we were staying at the time of the Wine Festival, so we didn't expect much peace, but a bit of white noise (fan) solved the problem! I would stay here again.

Couldn't be worst
Reviewed By TravelchileNice building and good location just few metters of the beach. But when you get into the rooms you'll find a dirty old room, with a trasg carpet on the floor. We had a terrible experience, finding pubic hair in the bath, then they change us of room and we found again head hair all over the shower ceramic. After that I asked for devolution of the amount I payed for the reservation and the administrator told me because of company politics only que could refund 50%.

5 star service and garden, but tiny, stuffy room
Reviewed By stork90After reading reviews and recommendations here, I had requested a room in the back. Thus, we were away from the noise from the street, and slept well both nights we were here, although the seagulls called loudly to each other all night. Even with the window open (and curtains covering it to try to keep out bugs - no screens), the room was humid and stuffy. The bathroom was tiny and water temperature kept changing throughout the shower. The front desk and breakfast service, however, were fantastic! They were super friendly and helpful, even though they only spoke Spanish, and us mainly English. The lady at reception patiently helped us rent a car from Theo Car (highly recommend for price and delivery to/from the hotel) to use for 24 hours so we could tour Elqui Valley and go to an observatory tour). We enjoyed hanging out in the large garden area on our first afternoon, and made use of the communal kitchen with refrigerator and freezer (and wine glasses) to chill and enjoy our bottle of wine.

Reviewed By kwintenv2016Beautifully (recently) renovated hotel close to the main plaza of Vicuña. Comfortable rooms and amenities. Very friendly / helpful owner and a great restaurant for dinner with a cozy patio terrace. Overall, I doubt you’ll find any better price / quality in the Elqui Valley!

Gorgeous cabana with just enough of a kitchen for us to prepare some of our own meals, beautiful views of mountains and pool, art-filled grounds, 5 star service, delicious, filling breakfast made to order and delivered to your room with a kind smile. We happened to be here when covid hit (and we had to cancel the rest of our trip to get back to the states before the borders closed but that’s a whole ‘nother story!). Claudia was the hostess with the mostest - so helpful / kind - and even supplied us with face masks we were grateful to have on the plane ride home... even though back then we weren’t sure what to make of the whole covid thing! Couldn’t have imagined a better experience. (We stayed here in March 2020 but TA won’t let me select that date so just adding that caveat here on actual travel date.)

Quiet and clean hotel in a remote town
Reviewed By MKMapmanIf you are driving North from Santiago to La Serena or beyond, it's all too easy to stay on the Pan-American Highway, which is a fast motorway. But between Los Vilos and La Serena you can also take a well engineered properly surfaced inland route, passing through the remote town of Combarbalá, almost 900m above sea level. The town is composed mainly of single storey adobe dwellings, although the main part of the Yagnam on Calle Valdivia is two storeys high, on a quiet street one block beyond the Plaza de Armas. (There's also an Annexe round the corner.) It has about half a dozen spacious and spotlessly clean rooms on the first floor. All were very quiet (Combarbalá is not a place to go for nightlife!) and those at the rear overlook an attractive pool in the back yard (but as the temperature in a June evening was only a few degrees above freezing that was quite irrelevant to my stay!). The bed was comfortable; there was a large flat screen TV with the main Chilean channels, and a proper desk at which to work, as well as free wi-fi. Breakfast was excellent, including eggs, cake, ham, rolls, fruit, juice and coffee.
