A great Resort for Family or Solo Travellers
Reviewed By livefrommanilaThe Henann Resort Alona Beach still is the place to go if you go to Panglao. The Staff is amazing, the Pool Villas are great with the private plunge pools and our son loved it. The beach is public so expect some crowds on weekend but overall it is still well maintained and relatively clean. As far as food goes, the Buffet at the Sea Breeze Cafe is great value for money and Christina's surely is a great place to dine as well. The Breakfast Buffet at Coral is all right and serves it's purpose but not always complete (no Bacon for example). Personally the only thing I could say was not really perfect. The various pools are great and well maintained as well. The whole property is well maintained and kept clean. Overall, can only recommend it. Will be visiting again.

Needs a lot of improvement
Reviewed By ChixVerlynWe decided to stay for an overnight stay in Tagaytay after my husband and I attended an event. We booked the hotel via Agoda and got a great deal. When we arrived at the hotel we were immediately assisted to bring out our luggage and I immediately went to the reception to check in.. it was a breeze however they are not like other hotels which will allow you to check in early. They advised us that they were fully booked the night before but when we were waiting in the lobby it seems that they were not because there are a few guest who checked out. Maybe its there alibi not to allow early check in and late check out (because they mentioned the same thing when we were asking to be extended for maybe 30mins - 1 hr) they also advised the same thing that they are fully booked given that its a Monday. We were checked in at the 8th floor. I got disappointed when we got in our room. Our room is very outdated and dirty. Wires around the TV are loose, Aircon is leaking, No floor towels in the CR, Lampshade is very dirty, Walls and floors has cracks, balcony has rust (which is very dangerous for guest), its noisy outside our room I’m not sure if that’s an aircon compressor outside our room but its really annoying. The wifi keeps on disconnecting on my phone and laptop I had to re-connect over and over again. They have a good service though it was very fast maybe because there aren’t enough guest its just that when they knock in your room its feels like your obliged to open it immedietly as after they doorbell they will knock endless time and shout room service (unprofessional way) and oh its just sad that they also charge 100.00 for a bucket of ice I stayed in other hotels and they don’t charge us for that. Amenities is also not recommended for use such us pool area I find it really dirty as the water is cloudy. They should train their staff more when I tried calling customer service I didn’t even understand a word she said as she was in a hurry talking to me and they were not courtious over the phone. Basement parking has no use as I think it became the hotel’s stock room. However let me also say what I like about the hotel. 1. Location wise is perfect it has a very nice view of Taal. 2. Good breakfast plus they offer refreshments beside the elevator all day 3. Pet friendly 4. Security guards are attentive 5. I like the lobby 6. Fast service (though needs to improve quality of service) Not recommended as of now not until they update there room and amenities..

A few days prior to checking-in, the reservations team called us first to confirm booking and accommodated all our questions, especially regarding travel requirements. On day of check-in, our flight was rescheduled earlier. Despite this, the reception checked us in earlier, and while waiting for our room, we were allowed to use the resort's amenities. Our rooms were clean. The villa we stayed was very spacious, perfect for my family of 4. The whole resort was large enough that it didn't feel crowded even if there were a lot of guests. The amenities are perfect for all family members whether young or old. The seniors who were with me was able to enjoy the pool since it was heated. Food in all restaurant outlets were delicious and reasonably priced for a hotel food. All the staff were courteous and welcoming. Service was quick. One of the best resorts I've stayed in.

A dissapointing stay.
Reviewed By travelrebelsOur second time booking here since the first one was unforgettable in a good way. Sad to say this second time will be our last time after all we have experienced. Pros: We loved Amorita we shared and recommend to our friends how exclusive and relaxing this place is and always will be . Our bad experinces: Chek in - We waited 2h after check in time to get to our room since it was not yet ready. Before, they give you a Tour around the whole resort to know the facilities and where tos. Unfortunately that did not happen this time. After the welcome drink we were informed about bfast time Buffet and asked to give our personal infos and our departure infos. Hold on we just arrive and you want to know already when we are leaving? Instead of asking our departure you could have check that we get information as to what amenities we can enjoy during our stay since we never had any of this infos in our room . Rooms - in our 5 days of stay I never NOT heard the loud noises of people running and going around the second floor. it was like hearing some construction worker when people go up and down the stairs. We were not warned by this ,needless to say you can keep a sign on the stair way to walk normally up and down . Might as well have your Stair maintained or checked. Room Cleaning bombarded the Toilet with Chlorine for cleaning and there was no air vent in this small room it was a horror doing your thing inside. The smell actually got worst on our last day of stay. Water on the Floor , from AC or leaking ? No idea how water went into the floor overnight when the room was closed and we were sleeping. Last but not the least Breakfast buffet - in our 5 days of stay we only have 1 decent and relaxing breakfast in Amorita, only when we woked up ealier to have it at 7am.Otherwise forget a quiet relaxing breakfast! If you are lucky to find a clean table ready otherwise you have to wait untill someone notice you and initiate to clean and prepare your table. Worst case you eat without utensils since the table is not ready and you have already gone get your food before everything. The Horror is also you eat without Water or Coffee since nobody cares to bring or ask you for coffee. Bottom line , please Management delegate your workers what to do or have the initiative to check on your guest needs. Amorita has lost its Amor to us and we hope Management will bring it back again.

I was impressed with the hotel’s security because vehicles are thoroughly checked upon entry, and guests’ bags have to pass through a scanner every time they re-enter the hotel. Our room was very clean and smelled fresh when we arrived, and a wide selection of different cuisines is available for its guests. Aside from the hotel’s nearness to the airport, getting a cab or Grab is very easy. Because the Shang Mactan used to be the country’s biggest resort, guests can spend their entire stay there without having to leave the hotel premises. Their rates are reasonable (I call it affordable luxury), and the staff very helpful. The employees are not used to speaking Tagalog though so perhaps they can brush up on that.

Our room was clean, orderly and had all of the essentials one may need, such as water, coffee and even fresh mangos! The care taker of our room, MJ Laxamana truly went above and beyond to take care of my family's every need. She was attentive, affable and very precise in her service. It was clear that she was a true professional and genuinely cared about me and my family. The hotel is attached to the Resorts World Manila mall, making it convenient to move back and fourth between the two. The hotel included a wonderful gym, steam room, sauna, and pool. Overall the experience was fantastic and nothing short of excellent.

The road down to the beach / sandbank was closed due to the storm in December. Missed information booklet in the room. That said, great service and staff, but overpriced compared to similar facilities.

Asia Divers/El Galleon Resort is located on Small La Laguna Beach, Puerto Galera with thirty air-conditioned rooms that blend into the tropical hillside. Other amenities include a waterfront restaurant, spa, cafe, two bars, free WIFI, and swimming pool. The spacious dive facility is located over the water with private diving platform and pontoon. We are the only dive facility in the area which has this. Divers have their own crate for storage in a spacious area, and photographers have dedicated camera room and rinse tanks. You will be well looked after by the experienced crew who are there to help you with anything you may need. Asia Divers offers PADI courses from entry level to instructor level. Daily diving includes five scheduled daily dives: 8:00, 10:30, 13:30, 16:00 and 18:00 (night) with a choice of dive sites at each time. Dives are with six or fewer people and there is a full range of diving equipment for rental and sale.

Reviewed By j0rd1l0p3zMI had the pleasure to stay at El Galleon for almost 6 weeks, combining work and diving. I can say without any doubt that is one of the best dive resorts I have been. Their dive operation is very well organized, boats always on time, nitrox 32% fills always 220bar and 60min dives (or more). Great dive guides and macro spotters and very friendly staff that make you feel like home. The food is amazing and The Point bar will make you go to sleep later than you planned ?. I will come back! Jordi
