Positioned at the eastern tip of the Costa del Sol, Nerja boasts nearly 10 miles of powdery beaches featuring activities like water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Although tourist-oriented, it hasn't been overtaken by high-rises, and its huge promenade delivers panoramic Mediterranean views.

For the second time in three years we enjoyed seeing snow on the mountain backdrop of the canalised section of the Rio Chilla, bordered with thick vegetation and trees, which leads to the sea.

Really good view of almost every page and often the entertainment of excellent street musicians, but her can be very windy. Here the old pensioners are aired daily, as well as some bus full tourists taking Selfies. I love it!

With a volume of more than 100,000 m3 and a surface covering 9,371 m2, the Tourist galleries represent approximately one-third of the cave. The cave has been used as a habitat, a burial site and for cultural expression. There are remnants testifying to the passage of hunters, gatherers and fishermen from more than 30,000 years ago. The General Visit starts with the screening of a audiovisual presentation in which you will be able to see spectacular details of the cave (10 minutes). Then an audio-guided visit through the different chambers of the Cave, in a pleasant walk of about 45 minutes where you will discover the many secrets the grotto keeps (audio-guided in Spanish, English, German, French, Italian and Russian). When the cave closes its doors, a small group of privileged people can enter the mystery of the underworld to enjoy the magnificence and beauty of the cave, and discover its secrets. You can choose between three modalities of Exclusive Tours
Our visit to the Nerja caves was well worth the drive from Malaga. The cave is huge and impressive. Interesting place for adults and children. Probably not suitable for those with mobility issues. The cave was not crowded during our visit, which was in the morning. Especially in summer or high tourist season/time, I'd recommend going soon after they open.

I popped in because the doors were open as I was on my way "home"...we are staying right beside the church, and I thought I would see its inside. It's definitely lovely and tranquil... I was slightly surprised to see myself the only person inside. It's lovely and I should try to find out more about it's history.

This is just a beach with coarse grey sand and quite average restaurants around. There are much nicer places in Nerja nearby especially around the Balcon de Europa. You have to say that this is rather the cheap end of town. Probably why they don't clear all the rubbish off the beach or fix the access stairs.

You park in a free car park at the top of a hill, then take yourself & your gear (chairs, parasols, coolboxes etc) in a minibus, which is 2 Euros return.
Sweeping Bay with a rockey outcrop. Clear sea with many fish, so good for snorkelling. It got deep fairly quickly in the bit I was in by the large rock.
There were 2 restaurants, the larger being heavily shaded above the eating area, with toilets on site. I didnt go to the other one.
It is just a beach, nothing tacky about it and totally unspoilt. Well worth 2 Euros to get there. I wouldnt advise walking down the narrow, twisty, steep road trying to dodge the minibuses as they pass you.

This beach is great because it is slap bang in the middle of Nerja, right by the Balcon de Europa, but many miss it.
Because it is not the easiest to find it never seems to be packed like some of the other Beaches. If you are interested in finding it go down the path that leads to Cochran's Irish bar and you will find your way onto the beach.

We went to see a Clapton tribute band here. Very comfortable and intimate setting. Prices were very good and the acoustics were as well. We will definitely look to come back for other events.

A lovely paradise beach with a nice nature and trees around, white sand, and little rocks, quiet and not to much visited. The beach to dream and farniente.
