Reviewed By hfot2We like to stay in Dormy Inns for the public baths and evening ramen, but sometimes the rooms are too small for our liking. We will only book the largest room they offer which usually suits our needs. Check-in was easy even though we arrived early and had the hotel hold our luggage while we walked around the neighborhood. The very helpful staff gave us information on area supermarkets and suggested the best one, Marunaka, even though it was a bit further away. We accidentally left a cane on the table of the free coffee service and when we went to retrieve it it was gone. A staff member had found it and brought it to the front desk for safe keeping. Our room was clean and comfortable as we expect from all Dormy Inns. We choose the “no daily cleaning” option and were given fresh towels and amenities daily for our 3 night stay. We don’t need clean sheets each night. The public baths were excellent for both men and women and they are natural hot springs not just hot bath water. The hotel is quite new and everything was very spiffy. The evening free ramen [and beer or soda (not great beer, but free!)] is standard Dormy Inn fare. We always buy additional toppings, vegetables and a salad to go along with the noodles to make a meal of it. The supermarket was a ten minute walk, by no means impossible. It is one the shopping street right near the hotel. There is a Family Mart just across the street if you don’t want to walk further afield. It is an easy 15-20 minute walk to Ritsurin Garden, which makes this location ideal for a garden visit. The station for our day trip train was close by, but the JR statiion is not. A taxi is necessary to get to JR station if you have luggage. One final bit of advice: take care when booking - there are 2 Dormy Inns in Takamatsu, this one and an older one (Dormy Inn Takamatsu) in a different part of the city.

Reviewed By Ayako MThey have pick-up service from the port though I did not use it because my plan was to visit other places and angel road before checked in. But maybe I should have. The hotel is on the hill and so, the view from the hotel and the room I stayed was fantastic. I really like it. The room was a non-renovated room but it was good for me and comfortable, and hot-spring was very nice that I considered to use it in the morning too. Although they did not have any fancy amenities other hotels often have. like lotion. And I was so excited to eat dinner but the dinner was not so good as I thought it would be. Sashimi and some pickle were in the box but it was not fresh. Other hot plate dish was good. I think the food was critical though overall it was nice stay.

Reviewed By mariimarps22The staff was really nice and helpful, I called from the airport and in a short 5 minutes they were outside to take me to the hotel free of charge. The place is a little run down BUT my room, the bed, floor and bathroom were very clean. The furniture seems a little too old but it didn’t bother me much. The bed was reallyyy comfortable. The room had a beautiful view. It’s perfect if you are staying one night and need to be close to the airport. They drove me back to the airport the next morning again, for free. Overall, a good stay.

It is a 5-minute shuttle bus from Tonosho Port to the hotel. The beach in front of the hotel is a sandy beach and in the direction it is an environment that you can look over the peaceful Seto Inland Sea. A hotel that boasts of its culinary delights that everyone is pleased with, The hotel has a Japanese restaurant that needs reservation and a hot spring only for guests. Free rental bicycles are convenient for sightseeing near Angel road or other places. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, you can go to Olive Park, Kanji River, soy sauce town. Moreover, it is convenient for shopping at a 3-minute walk to the large supermarket.

Breakfast again was served in the private room. Although the staff in the hotel did not speak much English. They were trying their best to provide the best service they could. The hotel is right opposite to the beach and although coming In winter, the view was still amazing. Also it was only 3 mins walk from a big store/supermarket. Also very close to the port and Angels walkway. I think it had a very good value for money.

Lovely lady with a great sense of humour serving us! - good location- 5 mins walk to angel road - great community environment- they held a mochi tsuki taikai last night which was great fun and the tsuki tate omochi delicious! Areas for improvement: - it is like stepping into a time machine back to the 70s and the hotel badly needs some renovation and TLC Overall, not a bad stay- price reflects what if offers!

More than I expected ! Great food!
Reviewed By wcy729I booked Hotel Kashimaso on japan rakuten hotel website, as japan rakuten has more options of hotels in shodoshima and the price is usually cheaper than other website. If you don't know Japanese, you can use google translate, once you finished booking, you will receive a confirmation email. It was just 6500 yen per night including dinner and breakfast, but the hotel only accept to pay in cash on the day you check out. It located near the bus stop call "鹿場浴場前". I got lost when tried to find the hotel, because I thought I could walk to the hotel from Tonosho port. PLS DON'T WALK! Take a bus or ask someone who knows Japanese to ask the hotel to pick you up !Luckily a very friendly setouchi art festival staff ask the hotel and they were willing to pick me up for free=] The room was very decent and quite big for a me, but the washroom was a little bit smelly, there's a air refresher near the door that you can use. The hot spring in the hotel was very nice and clean ! What impressed me the most is the food ! The dinner is a fest! Everything was beautiful and delicious, definitely the best meal throughout the whole trip! The breakfast was nice too! There're free shuttle bus to Tonosho port, you can ask for it in reception. The staff there only know some basic English, I really appreciate he made an effort to talk to me.Just 10 minutes walk from the hotel, there's a big supermarket,restaurant and public hot spring. I would stay in this hotel again next time! A little reminder that if you use hot spring, they will charge additional 150 yen when check out. It's totally worth it though.

清潔感がゼロに近い
Reviewed By passionfruit339お風呂が大浴場とありましたが、清潔感もなく、狭くて男性釣り客を中心にしている感じです。入浴税を取られましたが、印鑑のない許可書？？コスパは最悪でした。部屋のテラスも掃除が全くでした。ホテルというより、民宿でした。掃除が行き届いていないというより、まったくでした。
