Having never visited any type of spa before, we thought we'd give it a try as part of our stay at the Santhiya. 90 mins of pure relaxation, and worthwhile to get the 2 for 1 offer as you arrive. The staff and surroundings are great, and the winding walk through the jungle to the massage huts is wonderful. Definitely a "must do" whilst staying here.A word to other first-timers: opt for the "gentle" option!!

Great team, very professional and flexible to adapt to clients‘ requirements. Small diving groups at beautiful sites and fairly priced. Separate boat crew is very helpful with equipment as well as pre- and post dive preparation. Many languages spoken. The Kohyao Yai island is an example of how Phuket used to be many many years ago - quiet roads, lovely locals, beautiful Beaches and fair prices. Our guide Pawel was a great instructor, very calm and thorough in his teaching. He helped us to manage the course requirements easily. They also offer liveaboard tours to the Similan Islands for which we will surely come back!

It was quiet other than another small group of tourist there was literally no one around. Very secluded which is very rare nowadays everywhere! However I wouldn't say this is one of the best I've been.

This guy is amazing. I am just sorry I didn't have more time. I had three visits and the difference has been long lasting. It is true that he is not for the faint hearted. Be prepared for a serious deep treatment but as he says no pain no gain ! I have not been able to move my toes on one foot for year and after a few minutes treatment I can ! I will definitely return and go twice a day for at least four days. A colorful character who just chuckles when the pain gets tough !!

Koh Yao Yai ATV tour

Koh Yao Yai is an amazing destination for nature lovers and there is no better way to discover the island's hidden treasures than by an exciting ATV adventure. Koh Yao Yai ATV will take you on a unique tour off-road winding through the countryside, tropical jungle and rubber plantations on to a pristine hideaway beach known locally as Nok Ok.

ATV is ATV - ATV is fun (for me, that is). It is the service that makes the difference. This travel operator impressed us throughout. I was rather clumsy operating the ATV and their patient guidance put me at ease immediately. The ATV convoy was very professional and safety-consicous, with the traffic warden carrying out his duties in an alert and conscientious way. I was also impressed by the way the company seems to care and respect for the environment of the village - slowing down and keeping a distance whenever a scooter goes by is a small but important gesture. We were surprised that this service operates out of a small and humble village hut, but the quality was beyond expectation. The helmet, gloves and shoes provided were clean and odourless - which was something normally non-sporty girls like my friend and I really appreciated.
As for the route of the ATV journey, it provided us a way to sight-see the interiors of the village. It allowed us to have a glimpse into the laid-back, rustic and peaceful way of life of the villagers. All in all, an enjoyable experience for me.

Laem Nok Ok

Reviewed By chocdikrab - Frankfurt, Germany

it was realy not easy to arrive at lam nok ok, but what we get was a nature paradise for us alone. we heared about lam nok ok the first evening. the boss of our resort told us that lam nok ok is the loneliest beach on the island. the reason is the horrible djungle road. the best way would be to take atv, because the last 1.5 kilometers are only mobile with this vehicle. two days later we rented two normal motorcicles and we started to find lam nok ok, which in the southpart of the island located on the eastcoast. in ban pru nai we found near the school a road on the eastside and a small sign showed us the way to this secret beach, which is 7 kilometers far from that point.
the first kilometer was in a real good standart, but then the adventure started. suddenly the street changed into a dusty road...the dusty road into a wide path...the wide path into two driving grooves...but that was not all...the trail had extreme gradients up and down in the middle of the djungle. sometimes we had to get off the motorcicles and shove them with a light gas. the last kilometer we walked, because we arrived at a point a sign on a tree told us that now the real adventure starts. exactly there we stoped our motorcicles and we walked the rest of trail.
finally arrived at lam nok ok we were very amazed about the beauty of the beach...a small brook flows slowly in the sea, the fine sandy beach was clean and the water crystalclear. the untouched djungle reached very near to the beach, which is not so big...maybe 150 meters, but during low tide also good for swimming because the most part of the rocks is located at both ends of the beach. we stayed there a long time and no one arrived at lam nok ok. we leave that place as we didn´t had no more water to drink. we had a perfect day at lam nok ok, a real lonely beach in the middle of nowhere.
the trail back to civilisation was in snails pace but without incident. generally i have to warn to go there with the scooter! actually it was grossly negligent of me! the trail is realy dangerous and atv´s are much better without question. it was possible to do because it was dry with no rain since more than 3 weeks. if it is only a little bit wet the trail gets realy dangerous and isn´t mobile with a motorcicle.
maybe the mainreason because lam nok ok is a real untouched beach in Thailand.

We've (being white european tourists) "cheated" ourselves in to the beach of this resort without actually sleeping here and spent a really nice afternoon on the beach. The scenery is amazing. The village is covered with jungle, creeks and Bridges, there are some infinity pools overlooking the sandy Beaches. Infrastructure is top, the surroundings as permanently landscaped and cleaned. Away from the main road or other noise, perfect for a honeymoon getaway.
Prices are steep for the rest of the island, but you get a 5* resort around you for that.
