Frendly owners who speeks just enough english to understand. There is a shop with fresh fish behind the restoran and they dont mind if you go buy a fish from there and they will cook it for you. Taste is excellent and incrediens are local. It is located next to pier in Ao Labu, take a turn towards the See from local police station. It is also a good place to enjoy sunset.

No wonder Ban Rim Nam restaurant is Number 1. The setting beside the fishing pier, serene, looking out at the lobster farms floating on the horizon. Family run, Mum and Aunt are fabulous chefs creating fresh enticing dishes. Helpful in advising what to choose. Seafood is so fresh. A Must.

Being here and lavish your food and drink thoughts is very very satisfying. Having been there already a number of times we are sure everything on the menu is very tasteful as well as very well prepared on your plate.
So it looked good when it arrives in front of you. Then the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
All the meals we've had there were in one word delicious.
Then the staff. Very friendly, helpful and full of service. Prices is the other point were they score a lot of points. For food of this quality it is actually ( I hope they won't adjust the prices now) quite cheap in the pricing ranges. As it is also a bar they serve very nice cocktails and cold beer.
So if you're on Ko Yao Yai make time to pay them a visit, it is worth the trip!!

The food here was already for us as we were on a local tour of many Islands , the food including sticky rice , mixed vegetables, and 3 different currys plus assorted fruit .It was all really nice and very flavoursome.Would imagine this is the sort of place the locals eat , good service and great tasting food.

Wow what a place, amazing food !! and attention to detail, place was very chilled. Owners are so lovely, very attentive, friendly and make you very welcome. We returned several times during our stay as the food was so fantastic.
Set in a lovely well kept garden.. sound of the frog chorus is also fantastic .
Amazing food - best food we've had in Thailand.

We unfortunately only found this place on the last two days of our stay. It's located on the road behind the beach. What great food, we had pizza which was crispy and really tasty, and hamburger which was really good and the best french fries ever. Definitely worth a visit and the have good coffee too!

Staying at the Santhiya resort, we had breakfast here every day. The selection is very good and, as we enjoy Asian breakfast (noodles, dim sum, stir fries), it was perfect for us.
On Friday and Saturday, the lady that was at the work station during breakfast spoke almost no English but her skill was the best. Her fried rice with sea food, stir fried vegetables, and flat noodles were amazing. She knows what she’s doing!
We also had the Thai dinner buffet once, the evening of our arrival. The selection was ample (northern Thai salads, Chinese-influenced rice and noodle dishes, grilled chicken, pork and fish) and very good across the board. The desserts were not great (they never really are in a buffet) so we stuck to the fruit selection.
Finally, although the resort is large, it never felt crowded at breakfast or dinner. We would definitively come back and recommend.

We were staying at the Santhiya resort, where the restaurant is located and, although we ate out in the village, we ended up having dinner here twice.
The tables in front of the ocean are very nice. The food we had (we chose from the Thai and not the Western menu) was very good. We had the Thai grilled fish (excellent), the massamam curry (very, very good), the flat noodles with shrimp (excellent; they come with chicken but asked shrimp instead), and the veggie spring rolls (good).
The service is super attentive as all across the Santhiya.
Would definitively eat there again.

Great view and good food, not necessarily 5 star but well on the way. What makes this restaurant the best on this resort is the staff especially a lady by the name of Nampan. She went the extra mile for us and made our stay all the more enjoyable.

We ate here on two occasions and it was excellent every time. A much welcomed escape from the exorbitant prices in the nearby hotel and the food was fantastic here. Every dish was great and more than exceeded our expectations. Easily the best thai food we had after almost one month in Thailand. The service and setting/atmosphere were also superb. Highly recommended. You won't regret it!
