Surfer vibe with a Japanese touch
Reviewed By lfirselThe guesthouse is located a 3 minute walk from a supermarket (an actual supermarket, which aren't that common in Japan) and 7 minutes from the beach. The guesthouse itself is sparkly clean and has a fridge to keep your stuff in and small but well equipped kitechen, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly and recommended many things that were spot on. Do recommend.

Guest House okaasan-chi is a homely guest house which is located in Kamitonda town, Wakayama. We want to give you a relaxing and calm time with warm-hearted hospitality.
What a Find
Reviewed By Brian GWe stayed at this lovely guesthouse for about a week during our stay in Tanabe as part of walking the Kumano Kodo. However as a result of an unexpected medical emergnecy with one of my kids we needed to stay in Tanabe for the week. What a find! Seiko is a consummate host and opened her doors to us as if it was our own home. The guesthouse is modern, clean and well situated and good value as its away from Tanabe town centre. It's 5 minutes from Asso station one stop down from Kii-Tanabe. It is also on the bus route from Tanabe station through to Taka-Jiri the start of the Kimano kodo. It is set in a lovely residential district of Tanabe with family houses interspersed with rice field and a lovely view of the foothills and a 10minute walk from the river. There are may local restaurants nearby which Seiko can recommend. I would highly recommend Okaasan-chi Guest House.

Bien situé mais pas propre
Reviewed By Phil_BnaL'hôtel est bien situé à 2 pas de la plage, le patron est très gentil : voilà pour les points positifs. Par contre les chambres sont minuscules, très mal insonorisées, les parties communes ou même le mini tapis de la chambre ne sont pas propres. Gros problème d'hygiène pour la salle de bains commune.
