趣のある「宿」です
Reviewed By westernboots2020年11月に１泊しました。「Go to」利用で宿泊したので、お得でした。JR彦根駅からタクシーで10分程度、￥1500弱で着きました。彦根城から徒歩圏内ですが、夜は真っ暗で閑静な住宅街にあります。コンビニも徒歩５分程度の所にあり、観光のための立地条件は良いです。Castle roadの商店街にも道１本で徒歩10分弱です。本町宿は個人所有の古民家が改装されたそうで、個人の家にお邪魔してる印象でした。１階にシャワールームとお風呂場、客室１室と急な階段を上がって、２階に客室３室があるそうで、当日は満室でした。我々のファミリールームが2室で広く使えて良かったです。大型スーツケースを広げられましたし、外の景色も見れました。ツインベッドは普通で、寝心地も良かったです。古民家ですが、清掃も行き届いていました。フェイスタオルは支給されましたが、バスタオルは有料です。また洗濯機の使用は100円、コーヒーも100円でした。朝食は土鍋で炊き立ての近江米と名産の赤こんにゃくが出されました（写真参照）…普通においしいです。普通のホテルに飽きられた方は、一度、趣のある「本町宿」はいかがでしょうか。

Reviewed By nature_quanLake Biwa is just a 50min train ride from Osaka, this is the place you could totally relax and go back to nature. Take a bicycle and enjoy what nature has to offer. Try some watersports at Lake Biwa, stroll along the peaceful lake, enjoy spectacle sunrise, sunset and moonlight. Highly recommend to make this side-trip if you want to break from city life.

Authentic Japanese experience courtesy of Guesthouse An
Reviewed By hacemuyfrioShuji was our host of our stay at Guesthouse An. He gave us detailed explanations of the sights to see, how to get there, and how to use the traditional Japanese tatami mat house. He and his wife also provides an exquisite breakfast. We were the only group staying for breakfast so we got a chance to talk to Shuji 1-on-1 about our travels, music, and baseball. Reviewed By XiumingCommon area is Japanese old house (100years) in 'Jokamachi(castel town)' of Hikone and the beds locate in a newly build house with view of Japanese garden. Then I enjoyed Japanese old calm feelings and slept well in comfortable and clean room. To get to this guesthouse, it is not easy. You are better to bring a enlarged printed map from Google or a printed guide with pictures from the website of this guesthouse.
