Our guesthouse is in Minami-izu Yumigahama where is south of Izu peninsula. It is about 20min by bus from Izukyu-shimoda station. Our area is real Japanese local countryside town. You will be enjoy simple and peaceful time on here. And you can go to Yumigahama beach 5min on foot. Yumigahama beach is certified as 100 best beach of Japan. There is 1500m white sand beach line and blue ocean. It is also ideal for the base of activities. We renovated the first floor living room and kitchen, offer space for everyone to relax and enjoy to communication with other guests.

Reviewed By PerwanaSora is the best. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Rooms are very clean and cozy. There is a kitchen you can use to cook your own food. There is a front yard with a grill you can use to make bbq and chill in the evening. Its very well locatad. A beautiful beach is just a 5 min walk away. There is also a path through the cape that will lead you to other beaches. Unfortunately I didnt have enough time to go snorkeling or kayaking, but if you are interested just ask the owener, and plan it. Special thanks to Masashi and his wife for being such kind and welcoming hosts!

Reviewed By コバケイ数年ぶりに松崎に行くことになりこちらを予約しました。 お目当ての食事処さくらは臨時休業でしたが、かわりにおすすめしていただいた近所のお店がとても美味しく満足でした。 ゲストハウスは清潔で、パブリックスペースにコタツが置いてあって寛げました。 また泊まりたい宿です。

Mesmerizing Guest House: Neither Japanese inn nor pension
Reviewed By FreakishFridayLocated in the southern tip of Izu peninsula, the Asian taste facility was established from scratch by the owner/hostess several years ago. It is very well maintained beyond the level of guest house. You cannot expect ocean view from this facility, but within half an hour drive, you can reach many kinds of pristine beaches, trekking tracks along phenomenal sea view and diving spots. Balconies overviewing forests are exceptionally comfortable for drinking, eating, bird-watching and net surfing. At the time of my stay, other guests stay with each unique purposes; cooking, driving, diving, etc. The owner/hostess is talented in gluing the guests together friendly in the living dining room rather than secluding them privately. Although dinner is not served in the facility, the guests can cook in the kitchen of the facility if requested. Sea foods and vegetables harvested in this peninsula are available at local market at reasonable price. The owner/hostess will drive you to a couple of restaurants nearby if requested. Unless you drink alcohol, driving your own car provides wider selections for dining out. Overall, the style of stay is not conventional to Japanese inn or pension rather akin to guest house in other countries. If you like that style, you will not be disappointed.

Friendly Guesthouse
Reviewed By 738PeterKMy wife and I stayed at Lodge Mondo before mountain biking with Yamabushi Trail Tour (see separate review), which owns Lodge Mondo. The accommodation was basic but perfectly adequate, with both private rooms and a dormitory, and the added bonus of an onsen. The staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended.

素通り三回。わかりにくいお宿です。
Reviewed By あ～～～～～～～さん伊豆熱川駅から徒歩5分くらいのところにあるのですが、すごくわかりにくい立地です。地図を見て探したのですが、全く気づくことなく横を３回も通り過ぎてしまいました。 「あれぇ？無いなー」と困っていたら、ちょうど宿のご主人様が呼び止めてくださったので、助かりました。 宿泊したのは12畳の和室。風呂は男風呂と女風呂に別れていて、源泉かけ流しで貸しきり風呂です。 熱湯源泉なので、水で湯加減しながら入ることになります。とっても良いお湯で、数分ぬくもっただけで汗が噴出します。 誰かが入った後ならちょうど良い温度ですが、一番風呂の場合、湯船にたまった熱湯源泉を水で薄めないといけないので、入浴するまでの準備に手間がかかります（本当に熱湯です）。 部屋の設備はテレビとポットのみで、冷蔵庫はありません。 ドライヤーは洗面所に一つだけあります。 晩御飯はイセエビプランをお願いしたのですが、お刺身、ぶり照り、イカ大根、イセエビオーブン焼きなど盛りだくさんで、お腹が一杯になりました。少し料理が冷めていたのがもったいないです。朝食はちょうど良い量でした。 気になったのが部屋のテレビの下のホコリと、洗面所が少し汚いこと。お掃除をがんばってもらえたら、星４つだったのですが、３つにしておきます。 部屋や布団にカビ臭などは特にありませんでした。 あと、海へ抜ける道路に面して立っている宿なので、夜間でも車の通りがそれなりにあり、少しうるさかったです。 一泊二食つきで、源泉かけ流しのお風呂に入れて、一人１万円未満はコストパフォーマンスが良いと思います。
