Reviewed By ChristinaKLRThe restaurant is located in a picturesque landscape. The food is very good and the staff very polite. They speak English or at least they understand. We had a trout, pork medallions with mushrooms and deer burger (influenced by French cuisine). The beer of the restaurant's brewery was excellent! If you want to discover a hidden non touristic restaurant typical of the Bavarian landscape, this is the place to go!

Reviewed By BudababeLovely and spacious room. Generous, filling breakfast with welcoming innkeepers. Donau was low so not able to take a boat to Weltenberg. Took a bus instead. There are small boats for hire, check with Walter, the innkeeper for info! Lovely town with Schneiderweiss brewery!

Great stayover, clean and comfortable
Reviewed By Craig NStayed here for 2 nights, 4 guys in 2 twin rooms using it as a base to visit the area. The brewery next door was a lucky plus. Rooms were neat and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was the usual german hotel style. No issues and would recommend.

Traditional Bavarian Inn with friendly staff
Reviewed By veffektI was looking for a place in Kelheim with easy parking and the Stockhammer has a parking lot attached so I tried it and was very pleased. Check in was uncomplicated. The room was 'traditional' so not a modern hotel room, but spacious, clean, and functional. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was always super attentive and rushed to get your coffee. The restaurant was out of this world good. I would come back just for the food! The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and had a large local clientele of loyal customers. Only Con: Wifi was so slow it was almost unusable at times. Awesome stay!

We drink in here several times, and ate here once, and would have no issue recommending you give this place a try.

Reviewed By Klaus hMehr oder weniger zufällig in Kelheim, haben wir dort für 2 Tage gewohnt. Ganz netter und freundlicher Empfang, gute Zimmer, sehr sauber und trotz des Alters sehr gepflegt. Ok, die Bäder sind etwas klein, haben aber alles was man - wir - benötigen. Das Restaurant macht einen sehr guten, modern- rustikalen Eindruck, Chefin und Chef geben sich sehr viel Mühe, sind immer am Gast und kümmern sich. Für ein kleines Gespräch ist immer genügend Zeit. Die Küche ist rustikal aber leicht und sehr schmackhafte Dinge werden angeboten. Sehr gute Bierauswahl. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und Spaß gemacht.
