There is no other place to eat and drink, so prices are higher than normal. Service was quick and all the meals of our group were a reasonable size. The beer is brewed at the Monastery

I always enjoy this place. Great variety in Bavarian and elegant German cuisine. You can always find something to try, healthy or not. The chefs are excellent and the staff friendly and efficient. The portions are generous and there is something for every price range or palate. I have been coming here several times a year since 1995. I always leave the table happy and NEVER disappointed.

The food is outstanding. We ate here 10 years ago and really looked forward to returning. Wish we had known you could stay here, as well. The service is superb even though they were very busy. They handle the crowds with professionalism and style. Great ambience and location!

As a Kelheimer living far away from Kelheim and just occasionally turning home, it was just by chance (or by mistake?) that we went there for lunch. Maybe our mouths are already spoilt with excellent cuisines elsewhere but this visit to Weisses Brauhaus was disappointing to us.
The day after we heard in the radio that this restaurant won a prize. For us it is incomprehensible how such prizes are awarded; probably it is the location and the beer, but definitely not the kitchen!
The menu shows meat dishes only and very few vegetarian dishes. And even the meat dishes are made of cheap meat choices.
It seems that in order to be a bit trendy, they put a section "Vegan & glutenfreies" on their menu. But what a shock! Some of us were vegan eaters and one person needs glutenfree food, and what we saw did not convince us that the chef understands or is willing to understand what glutenfree or vegan means. Please see my picture attached and you will see what I mean.
At the end, we chose the Gemüsesuppe and the Gemüseteller (as it seemed to be both glutenfree and vegan). it was OK, the vegetables were cooked only (could have been fried or so) but at least everything was fresh.
In addition, one of us had the Schweinebraten, and it looked like a sad piece of an unhappy pig surrounded by a loney dumpling (Knödel) watered by a half litre of salty sauce.
Sorry, but Kelheim has better places where to eat, unless you want to drink beer only, then it might be OK at Weisses Brauhaus.
A word to the service: we had a "main" waitress" who was very nice to us and also tried to understand our concerns. There was another one bringing us the Gemüseteller but putting mine not in front of me but elsewhere on the table. I asked her whether it is mine and she answered yes. Usually, in such a moment, I tend to skip the tip (but I haven't because it was the friendly waitress who took the money; she also apologized for the behaviour of her colleague).

Auf dem Rückweg von Kloster Weltenburg mit dem Holzkahn fahren, ist viel schöner als mit den großen Schiffen und dann zu Fuß zum Klösterl. Schöner Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung.....wenn mal geöffnet. In den letzten Jahren habe ich es 2 mal geschafft das Klösterl geöffnet anzutreffen. Öffnungszeiten ????

Super schmackhafte Pizzen im Holzofen gebacken. Leckere Nudelgerichte und frische Salate.
Im Sommer kann man wunderbar draußen sitzen und Conny ist immer für einen kleinen Plausch zu haben! Bitte weiter so!!!!

wir waren schon oft zu Gast hier und haben bis dato immer gut gegessen. Unsere Entscheidung am Sonntag Mittag hier zu speisen war leider falsch. Die Küche war sichtlich mit dem Gästeansturm überfordert. Das sogenannte Salatbuffet war meisten leer. Die Salate, na ja, bis auf den Kartoffelsalat keine kulinarischen Highlights. Meine Entenbrust kam in einer nicht definierbaren Sauce mit einem Kartoffelknödel daher. Das Fleisch zwar weich, aber durchgebraten und die Haut eher lapprig. Warum nicht eine kleine aber feine Sonntagskarte?? würde vollauf genügen. fast eine Stunde Wartezeit ist einfach zu lange. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, aber definitiv nicht am Sonntag Mittag.
