Reviewed By shingot501建物は古いが客室リフォームが行き届いた広い部屋で、価格もお手頃。駅や繁華街のアクセスも良く、とても快適です 。Though the building is a little older, the room is clean and large enough. The location is also good for the convenience, especially from both the station and the downtown. The price is reasonable. Pretty good.

Reviewed By hawoonaWe really enjoyed staying here. There is parking,you sleep on the floor Japanese style. We opted to have breakfasts and the owners went out of their way to cook a different breakfast for my boyfriend who doesn't eat eggs or fish. The only thing is the building and facilities are old and therefore cold, but they place heaters all over the house to heat the house. I feel the owners do the best they can with the facilities they have got and make up with great service. We enjoyed our hotel milk and biscuit on arrival!

great choice in snowy asahikawa
Reviewed By Koobumwe stopped at this ryokan as we planned to visit asahikawa zoo. we had a rental car, so its location was more accessible to us. The room was a tatami mat traditional japanese style with futons for the 4 of us. modern toilet facilities were available, the icing on the cake was the inhouse 'onsen' bath. Guests at the ryokan does not have to pay a fee for its usage. As it was rather late when we checked in, we had the bath all to ourselves. breakfast was again a traditional Japanese style set, but my family is not used to eating salmon in the morning. Regardless, it was laid out beautifully and I had a hearty meal. The service at this hotel is excellent, the staff pays attention to the smallest details. Imagine our surprise to find that we didn't have to brush the snow off our car despite the heavy snowstorm the night before. I don't think it's their job to do so (brush snow), and I am in awe of their service attitude and the extra mile they run for their guests. I highly recommend senshoen, for its service, comfort level, professional staff, bathhouse, and its beautiful garden.

Reviewed By tabibito09旭川を訪れた際に宿泊をしました。恐らく改装前は周辺と同じスタイルのホテルだったかと思います。駐車場が一階にあり、雪が積もらない造りになっているのが、冬の北海道旅行にはとてもありがたかった。室内は簡易的な仕切りで区切られていて快適でした。また旭川に宿泊する際は利用したいと思います。

Reviewed By Coastal558638昭和バブル時代に収集した思われる大型木彫り彫刻,壺陶器、仏像などあり、昔は、かなり人気のあつた旭川市民の娯楽の殿堂だつたのかな......昭和生まれの人は、いろいろ楽しめる旅館です。家族が和室でゆったり、すごせます。温泉は、いろいろな泉質を楽しめ、地元の人が銭湯として、利用しているようです。すこし小高い山の上にある、静かな都会の中の、オアシスです。まわりには、ネオンギラギラの格安ホテルあります。

Reviewed By KelineTI chose a private Japanese style room and am very satisfied with it. Although the bathroom was small but the room and including the bathroom was clean. Basic toiletries were provided and there was onsen in the basement as well. Breakfast was typical Japanese food, rice, fish and side dishes etc. There was no western option. Owner couldn't speak much English so that could be a turn off for those who can't handle simple Japanese. But otherwise, it was impeccably good service that was given. When i first sent an email to the ryokan seeking directions, the owner replied that he could come pick me up from the station and there wasn't any extra charge at all. That was really kind and helpful of him. The ryokan although was about 1.5km, 20 or 30 minutes of walking required from the Asahikawa station, sits along Ishikari river and you could catch their beautiful sunsets in the summer. When i was checking out, the owner initiated to drive me to the station. Also during my stay, when the granny learnt that i had no umbrella and it was raining quite heavily, she quickly got someone to get me an umbrella. i felt really touched for the kind gestures. So, other than the language barrier for non-Japanese speaking tourist, i think this is a nice and decent ryokan. Maybe alittle aged and houses quite abit of belongings around but i guess it was also their home, hence the piling up of things. I would definitely choose this place again when i visit Asahikawa.

Perfect for the price
Reviewed By mux_chThis has been a great experience. There is no staff, everything is done by email in a friendly and easy manner. It is amazing that it works. The property is a bit off, but quiet and offers space in the room and is very well kept. I don't know if that would work elsewhere. The room was warm (as I picked a cold day to visit). And it is quiet! The USB chargers in the room are a great feature. During the stay there is no room service, which seems totally ok as I would assume you won't be staying there for more than a few days. There is free parking space in front of the building. BTW, there is an elevator just right from the entrance hall and the stair case is a door further!
