The 7 Best Self-Guided Tours & Rentals in Singapore, Singapore

July 12, 2021 Terina Blouin

The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

Friendly, caring, and professional. The staff went all the extra miles to be customer focus. First of all he carried all our bikes up the stairs ( we are a family of three with a toddler) and ensure we all crossed the street safely. To top it all the shop provider map and sunscreen free of charge. After return we were given bottles of chilled water. All these are way beyond what could offer by a five star hotel’s concierge service in the renting of hotel bicycles. Honestly being to numerous East Coast and Punggol bicycle renting crawls in the past few months, this shop is one of the best, if not the best bike shop in Singapore. The rating says it all.

Came to learn about this company on a travel website. Signed up for it with no expectations but turned out to be a fantastic experience. The game-master was very accommodating and proactively reach out. It was raining mid-way though no fault of the company and they came by to help. Super!

The puzzle hunt which we did around Chinatown was one of the most engaging and unique activities that I have done in recent times. The puzzles, which were very well-designed, was a great way for us to bond and work together. In doing so, we also made our way down to many of the different attractions around Chinatown and got to learn more about them! It was also great that everyone from Ransack was incredibly friendly and helpful all the way through as well :)

It was a little hard to find but it is well worth the visit. I rented a bike for a 16 mile ride around the marina, and out to the cruise terminal. They set me up on a very nice bike, and gave great directions and good places to stop. I had a great exploration ride. They also pointed me in the right direction for an after ride snack. I will be back and I will rent from the Hut.

7. E-Bike/ Electric Bike Rental in the City

1 North Bridge Rd, Singapore 179094 The Bicycle Hut

We've been in the bike rental and bike touring business for 7 years now. Its fair to say we understand cycling better than anyone else in the City. We are the first and only e-bike rental company in the City. We take cycling seriously as per regards to traffic regulations. We'll ask you questions to gauge how much distance you can cover and things that you may want to see and explore while you're out cycling. Basically we give you the best advice possible and to ensure that your journey will be an enjoyable one. You'll see a lot more on an e-bike in a shorter space of time than you can on a regular bicycle. Less than half the effort and energy compared to a regular bicycle. This ensures you are not overly tired after the e-bike journey. While all effort will be made to ensure that the e-bike functions well. A technical breakdown may occur. This is extremely rare. We will try our best to replace one for you although availability and distance may not allow this to be possible.

Inclusions: Use of bicycle

Exclusions: Drinks and breakdown pickup are not included in the price. Breakdown pick up charges apply.

Bicycle Hut provided us with great quality, well maintained bicycles suitable for distance cycling after we had explained our needs by email. When we collected our bicycles we were very happy with both the standard and maintenance. On collection cycles were adjusted for us individually; locks & pumps were provided. Helmets are also provided but we had taken our own. A brief safety chat and discussion about cycling in Singapore was had whilst we familiarised ourselves with the map of cycle trails. All the staff we dealt with were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The Bicycle Hut is super convenient to pick up and drop off your bicycle being in the middle of town.
