Despite the distance of only about 3 hours from Tokyo, is a Japanese resort rich natural and human kindness coexist. Dogashima New Ginsui has the largest facilities and natural hot spring this area. Gorgeous views and service
Reviewed By Stormville99Pros: This hotel's view is so incredible. We enjoyed the view from our room and the restaurant and each time took our breath away. The staff were very attentive and even gave small gifts to our children. The Japanese style rooms were lovely and the futon beds on the floor were very comfortable. The onsen was relaxing, well maintained and family friendly. Cons: We were a little disappointed to find all the pools drained during our stay. We were hoping the kids could enjoy the indoor pool but it was empty. Also the beach at the bottom of the hotel had quite a lot of rubbish on it. Plastic and rusted parts all over the rocky beach. It didn't seem safe for children. Maybe a beach best to look at from the hotel, but not visitors up close! We still loved our stay though.

A ticket to the final Station, Shimoda Station purchase.Shimoda station on Tokai bus transfer. Bus ticket, 2-day effective for 3900 JPY Izu area free-pass purchase. Shimoda station No5 bus stop to Dogashima bus ride in. From Shimoda Station to dogashima bus-stop 60 minutes. Dogashima bus stop when you arrive, walk 5 minutes to the hotel arrival.

Sure, if you are lucky enough to have a high floor room you might have a decent view but if you unlucky checking in late you will receive one of the rooms at the 1st floor where you will hardly see anything, especially considering the fact that the windows were really filthy. Bucked of ice $5, one coffee $5. This is a ryokan and we actually live in Japan so we are experts and my wife is Japanese but this is a really old and not a clean place. almost $400 a night. Forget it. Bedding (futons were wet for humidity and old) Breakfast does not even have coffee, as I said we had to pay extra. The only good thing was the included dinner. Delicious. By the way, our room did not even have phone signal. We wanted to make a reservation for dinner to a local restaurant and we ask the front desk how to call from the room phone....you cannot.

Ryokan in a very quiet area
Reviewed By David LWent there in the off season and we were the only guest. Hosts were reasonably helpful. We were told that 3 of 5 local restaurants in a tourist magazine were not open and instruction to a nearby supermarket were given. As dinner was not included, we set out looking for local delicacies but could find none. Ended up buying instant cup noodles from the supermarket. The breakfast was good but I would not call it great.

Reviewed By nerpon家族旅行を計画していたのですが、知人の結婚式が入ってしまい行けなくなってしまったので、1ヶ月以上前にその旨連絡をしたところ、「そんなの困るわ、どうにかならないの？」とおかみさん。どうにもならないので申し訳ないと伝えると、「じゃぁ、キャンセル料いくらにしようかしらねぇ。3000円/1人くらいかしら」というので、いやいや、ＨＰに1000円ってかいてあるじゃないですかと伝えると、「じゃ1000円でいいわ」との事。きっと行った時の対応もこんな感じなのでしょうね。泊まる前に色々わかってよかったです。価格は安いですが、ここにお金落とす気にはなれませんでした。

Reviewed By ikameshiekichoまず到着時に出迎えはなく挙げ句の果てにフロントにも誰もおらず呼び鈴を押しても誰も来ず待たされる。 やっときたとしてもまだ慣れていないのか対応はあたふた。 メインルームは想像以上に狭い。 露天風呂は通行人から丸見え。 セカンドルームという名の食事処がありそこはたしかに広いが場所が違うので使い勝手が悪い。 風呂の大きさは大人3人は入れるようでよかった。 なぜか内風呂もあるがこのスペースもう少し部屋広くできたらと思った。 アメニティに電動歯ブラシが用意されていたのは驚いた。 料理自体は無難においしかったがここでもサービスの悪さが目立ちました。パンをお願いするとしぶられます。刺身の内容をきいても答えられません。 とにかくスタッフの教育はまったくできておらずこの価格帯でこんなに不快になったのも初めてなぐらいひどかったです。特定のスタッフではなく全体的にそうでした。 値段一流サービス三流がまさにの旅館でした。 他の方のクチコミ通りです。

Reviewed By Maps810988週末2人用のキャビンを借りたのですが、チャックインの時間に誰もいなく、管理人施設のドアに書いてある携帯番号に電話して当日のスタッフを呼び出したり大変でした。悪気はないのですが、当日駐車場代と2人分の理念代合わせて1880円請求されしぶしぶ払いましたが、、、何とも納得は行きませんね。いちいち追加料金を施設ごとに要求してくるので利用される方は気を付けましょう。
