This museum is a delight..... a very impressive collection of icons in a museum designed to maximize the impact of seeing them. One big complaint is that the tour is guided (no other option is offered) and quite rushed. I would have loved to see ALL the icons at my pace, sadly it was not possible. Note to management: please reconsider the format.....

An excellent place to review and experience history of printing timeline. Make your own paper and print on it ! Be amazed by the complicated linotype machine! Dedicated and knowledgeable tour guide is icing on the cake

The church of the Annunciation reminded some kind of castle since it was built as the defensed church. The monastery (Suprasl Lavra) buildings are incorporated with the with the Palace of Archimandrytow for one beautifull court yard. It is the biggest attraction in the area (except the theatre of Wierszalin of course).
