Interesting place, friendly staff
Reviewed By gazzamuppetThe setting is ideal, 10 minutes walk to town, to the bar and restaurant area and the train station. Quite a small place in a converted 16th century watermill. Very friendly reception staff. Generally only one person on who doubles up as bar staff and breakfast person. Reception (and small bar) close around 8pm - so you have a code to get in the door. Rooms very minimalist, quite basic. Wooden floor, brickwork and beams, bed comfy, but no headboard. No kettle. Does have hairdryer and safe. Shampoos etc not topped up during stay either. Two bottle of water left daily. Breakfast OK, good cold selection. Only hot items are bacon and scrambled egg. Place seemed to be quiet when I was there. However on one night when it was busier you could easily hear people in room next door, upstairs and in the hall, due to all being wood. Would stay again

Reviewed By beatrijsdevosOnly one night, but this is a place to cherish. Cosy, Quiet, very friendly people, good food, beautiful region for walking and biking, comfortable rooms and bathrooms and a lovely terrace! We are looking forward to our next visit.

Reviewed By Annemieke NOur second time here. And again great. We were at home again. This time in the wintertime, although no snow, not possible for a breakfast outside, but beside the cosy wood stove inside. Greet serves all kinds of health options.

Kasteel van Nieuwland is located in a green environment just outside the city center of Aarschot. Whether you come from a busy day at work or want to relax a bit, the 12ha surface offers everyting to come to rest. Our restaurant is open monday to thursday evening as well as our bar. Kasteel van Nieuwland is run by the owners themselves which results in a personal touch, nice atmosphere and great flexibility.

Reviewed By patroon518Had a great experience at this hotel. Beautiful old building with classic, traditional rooms. Brings you back in time. Owner was super friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds to take a stroll. Great dinner in the restaurant. Would definitely stay again.
