Since 10 years we go about 20 times a year to the different concerts of the Lucerne Festival Orch ( Outstanding) and the Lucerne symphony Orchestra . the acoustic in this Hall makes the visitors of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg jealous. If you visit Lucerne, try to get tickets before you start your trip. The internet offers are self explaning and easy to handle.

The Abbey Library St. Gallen, famous for its beautiful baroque hall, is one of the oldest libraries in the world. And it holds one of the most important manuscript collections in Europe, especially for the Carolingian and Ottonian period from the 8th to the 11th century. The collection is presented to the visitors in changing and thematised expositions. The library forms the central part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Convent of St. Gallen.
The library is precious and one has to wear slippers they provide as the floor is being preserved with its lovely inlaid wood. The paintings and the books are breathtaking.

A unique experience. The building was incredibly innovative when it was built in the early 20th century. Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Anthroposophy designed the building and experimented with concrete at a time when it was not usual especially for a building of this size. The contrast between the grey heavy material and the organic forms is a unique testimony to the avant garde spirit of its designer. It is also the seat of the Anthroposophic society and a University of Spiritual Science. Normally there are regular conferences and artistic performances held in the building, although now due to the Covid situation, all the events are held online. But simply walking on the Goetheanum ground is quite an experience by itself
