It's an incredible place, seeing the tide coming up so quickly it's mesmerising. The only negative point we found is this one: we wanted to wait for the 20: p.m. tide, after having visited the abbey. We wanted to just sit in a cafe to have a beer or something like that, watching the tide coming up. Nothing, at 6 p.m. every bar or restaurant (but one, internal) was closed. Not a very marketing-clever idea, but maybe there was something going on we didnt' know about.

This beautiful museum, once a railroad station, now houses a staggering collection of Impressionist art, as well as other items created between 1848 and 1914. In 2011, the museum is running a renovation of the top floor (impressionist gallery). Only ground and medium floor are accessible. The top floor will re-open on the 20th of October. Meanwhile, some impressionist masterpieces are not visible.

Easier to navigate than the Louvre; dedicated to art from 1850s to 1940s; we took five hours plus a 90 minute refuel in La Restaurant.
First Sunday in April so access was free. We arrived at 0925 and queues until 1030 before we passed security and were actively viewing.
We headed up to the fifth floor to start with the floor dedicated to the impressionists. It’s overwhelming.... Monet, Manet, Renoir, Degas... Cezanne, Pissarro, Sisley... it’s like and endless visual bombardment.
The second floor has Art Deco furniture and indeed a whole room reconstructed from the period... oh and the sculptures...
I loved it. The audio guide was pretty good too.
La Restaurant had a starter and main offer at €22... Onion Soup with bread and Sea Bass fillets on couscous. Fine for the price and provided enough energy to tackle the last two floors.
Van Gogh, Picasso, Gaugan... really all this in a manageable, navigable museum. It’s a total wonder and the finest day I’ve spent looking at art.

Wow! We really, really liked it! It's a chill place to go for French "tapas", if you will. We enjoyed a late afternoon there eating a variety of great cheeses, meat, tartine, pickles, olives, hummus, etc... Of course, it was accompanied by a great red wine.

We were four couples who all ride high-end road bikes at home and have traveled extensively throughout Europe, mostly bringing our own bikes. It is a must-see during spring - especially now (mid-April), when there are blossoming trees! Park is quite big, the blossoming trees are on the right side of the park, looking from the Sceaux entrance (where the chateaux is). There are actually two parts of blossoming trees Gardens - first "square" (before the center of the canals) are the famous pink ones, and the next "square" (after the center of the canals) are beautiful white ones. Be aware of the crowds - there are plenty of people hanging out in those two particular areas. There is also park of sports, with lots of green area (and several pink and white blossoming trees as well). Pets are welcome in the park, and there is even the dog-park part. During other seasons, park is nice for walking or picnicking, but not that much interesting.

A free transfer from a well-known Paris metro station from center of Paris to Thiais Village where one of the IKEA stores located in suburb of Paris makes shopping easy from IKEA for those who are traveling on public transport.
This was the second time which I have spent almost a full day in Thiais village and shop in IKEA store.
If you are a fan of IKEA, don't miss the IKEA family promotions and stay definitely for lunch for Swedish meat balls which is served with green beans, mash potatoes and jam.
Having salmon fish indeed is another Swedish touch you can find it there.
If you are traveling with young children, you can leave them for a child zone which staff will care about them during your shopping.
French IKEA is lovely to me since I can find unique items there.
Next time visiting paris will visit again.

It's surprising that there are currently only three reviews of this garden in English (but numerous ones in French). It's clearly a well-hidden secret, known mostly to locals. This garden is considered to be one of the major Gardens worldwide for old roses, so it should be better known. It doesn't appear to be publicized much, and it not mentioned in many guide books. I found out about it a few years ago only through a specialist book about Gardens in Europe, and this was my second visit. It's worth the trip, if you are in the Paris area, and especially if you are in Paris in the second half of May or in June.
Since the garden specializes in old roses, which mostly bloom only once between about the middle of May to the middle or end of June, that is the best time to visit. Old roses are known for their fragrance, and the scent through the Gardens is wonderful when they are in full bloom. The garden would be nice anytime during the summer, as the garden does incorporate some modern repeat-blooming roses, but between about mid-May to the end of June the garden explodes into bloom and is quite spectacular.
The labelling of the roses is quite complete, and there are signs in various parts of the garden which give some insight into the history of rose breeding. (They may be only in French; I actually can't remember if they also had English translations).
It's quite easily accessible by public transit, using the RER B2 or B4 lines from various places in downtown Paris south to the Bourg-le-Reine station, and then Bus #172 to the garden itself (and in reverse to return to downtown Paris). I think details about this are given on the website for the garden.
I chuckled at one of the French reviewers, who said that the servers at the on-site cafe were not welcoming and were incompetent. Well, yes, they probably are, but I still ate there and enjoyed the meal. The food was fine, and the setting made up for the rather slow service.

9.15.2014 -- Tickets 5 Euros. Quite a good mix of styles in their collection. The space is somewhat small though.
Most fascinating was the series of thin red lines that appeared randomly painted on the ceiling, walls, and the 3 pillars in the foyer as you enter. But with every step you take your perception of the lines shifts with you. At a certain angle by the far right corner, all the lines appear to converge to form 3 perfect concentric circles. Very clever indeed! You must see it to appreciate the dynamic optical illusions. Mesmerizing! I forgot to note the Artist's name though!
There were several sculptures outdoors in the small lawn too. There was also a Seating area under a stand of shady trees overlooking a reflecting pool. Nice!
