Not to big place but green, and the seaosons of durian only during january to march. We can buy some food in this place and there are some playground for children. But if you go on normal day will be very quiet

Alice S from Denmarks review was for Taman Safari not taman Dayu. Completely incorrect information. Unable to report with ease to trip advisor so had to write a review instead. Taman safari has the restaurant with white tiger prowling around and can pick up take photos with baby animals. This has nothing to do with taman dayu

This is actually a good place to spend a day with children if you can find a way to get there (probably impossible by public transport)...the place has the potential to be a world class zoo but is run a bit poorly...
You begin with a safari (can take your own car or take the bus provided by the zoo)...our driver would just zip through everything not giving us enough time to see the animals despite numerous requests...also the buses were fuming exhaust constantly which can't be good for the animals...there's gotta be some serious liability issues and safety issues (for both visitors and animals) when people can take their own cars inside...
There's another zoo area other than the safari area where the animals are kept in a smaller area...while there are signs requesting that animals not be fed, no one enforces this...some animals are out in the open and there are no staff to enforce the visitors petting/touching them...
The rides are all outdated and probably can be skipped...
We watched the elephant show which is the typical circus show...while no signs of animal abuse is obvious, some serious potential danger as one part had an elephant pretending to step on a guest...
The worst part was the photo zone where visitors can practically stand next to a tiger or a lion...those animals were totally drugged up while chained at the neck, which was a depressing sight...

Whenever you get bored of your daily activities, consider this place for escaping your routines. They have a hotel in the middle of tea plantation. You will be surrounded with mostly green color which is good for eye relaxing. The air is so fresh there, and the location is quite far from the main road of Lawang which is good for you who like a quite surrounding.

This place is a waste of time, beside the camping ground which is pretty bad also, i would not recommend going to this place, once you say the waterfall all you feel is a disappointment and exhaustion only, not worth keeping a memory and sort of.
The price to go in is = Rp. 30.000
but you can get it for free if you park in a friends villa and walk to the waterfall, from the gate to the waterfall probably takes 10 minute.

berlokasi di dekat grand trawas hotel, tempat ini menyatu dengan resto nuansa alam di sebelahnya. menyediakan berbagai macam sayur organik, walaupun saya seringkali kehabisan sebab stok sayur terbatas atau masih dalam usia tanam. di sebelahnya ada resto nuansa alam,walaupun tidak terlalu besar namun cukup asri,sejuk dan menyenangkan walaupun hanya sekedar minum saja.

I dont remember the full story, you can do the googling, but as I remember it, as the Majapahit empire was in decline, the nobles of the empire started to build temples on the holy mountain Pananggungan, both to the Hindu gods and also to the gods of the mountain. As time went on, the nobles tried to outdo each other and build higher and more elaborae temples. The result of this is that there is a serious of small, difficult to access temples scattered around the flanks of Gunung Penanggungan and its 4 satellte peaks.
We didnt climb the summit of Penanggungan, as we had limited time, but we hired a guide (from the Jolotundo Temple at the start of the climb) and trekked the temples using Seloliman as the base for our efforts. We followed sometimes very poorly marked paths through forest, scrub and savanna, and visited 12 small temples which ranged from piles of stones, to beatifully preserved small monuments from the distant past. It was a great walk ... but you definitely need a guide, the correct footwear, a high level of fitness, and plenty of water. Also, you need to be sure on your feet, as some of these paths are overgrown and others go up and down nealry vertical hillsides. The entire hike, including sitting back and relaxing at the temples, took from 10am to 4pm, through the heat of the day. Ths isnt a high volcanoe ... so it can be very hot work. Do not underestimate this walk, it is a little dangerous in places, and very hot work.
Definitely one of the nicer climbs / treks I have performed in Indonesia in terms of views, effort and culture. I will return to do this again, and also climb to the summit.

This is another beautiful temple that I had the opportunity to visit. Its situated in the Prigen district in Pasuruan Regency.
I just loved the mountain scenary in the backgroud of the temple. There was a man working here and he was kind enough to let us in tell us all about the temple. Aparently the temple was restored as the roof was colapsing. There is just one entrance to the top of the temple as its surrounded by water. The ancient extrance to the temple still remains further to back of the exntrance to Candi Jawi.
