While not the most pleasant stay my fiance and I have had, as there were ongoing renovations at the time, the hotel is ok. The staff at very friendly, the food is good and the rooms are clean. Strongly recommend staying at least one night just for the amazing view of the countryside and volcanoes from their deck, as you eat breakfast in the morning. Simply stunning!

The location of Bosskid is excellent. Perchedt high on a cliff with superb views of the beach below and sweeping views of the ocean in front. I had lunch and dinner there two consecutive evenings. Each meal was a treat. Simple, fresh local food.
Not only that, the owners donate a portion of your bill to help the local kids charity.
Juni and his team are also a lot of fun to hang out with.
In all, a visit there is highly recommended.

It serves fried chicken with kremes. Just like Ayam Goreng Ny. Suharti. But the chicken is slightly bigger from Ny. Suharti's. The taste is delicious n the price is reasonable. Recommended place to eat if you visit Gunung Kidul.

Two former Indonesian presidents have been here. So, why not try. The restaurant is a kind of fast food, but traditional, as they served various dishes promptly. It's hard to explain the food in English :-) as some of the dishes are Gunung Kidul's specialty: lodeh lombok ijo (green chili in coconut gravy), wader goreng (fried baby fish), empal goreng (fried beef with coriander, tamarind and palm sugar), babat goreng (fried beef tripe), fried bee larvae, steamed papaya leaves, and trancam (raw long bean, and mung bean sprout salad with coconut shredded). They also served friend chicken (village chicken, not broiler). I tried all and enjoyed them very much. My friend said most of the dishes are sweet and savory. It is definitely true, because it is Javanese dishes. Overall good traditional Javanese food.

Ukuran cafenya sangat minimalis namun suasannya sangat nyaman. Kopi single origin, disini punya banyak pilihan kopi dari berbagai daerah. Selain kopi ada juga yang lainnya coklat, milkshake jadi buat yang gak suka kopi juga bisa kesini. Ada juga cemilan buat nemenin minuman. harganya sangat terjangkau dan cocok untuk nongkrong di sini.

Dengan lokasinya searah Jalan Yogyakarta - Wonosari Bandung Playen, Gunung Kidul, tepatnya di pinggir jalan raya dengan tanda nama warungnya berwarna merah. Menunya banyak pilihan yang enak dan harganya cukup mahal, Ruangnya cukup menarik dalam tema tradisional tetapi belum ada penghawa buatan atau AC. Pelayanannya cukup ramah dan tempat parkirnya cukup luas.
