Mandelmanns Tradgardar

Very close to where I grew up in the hear of Österlen. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and they have managed to turn this place around to a unique and interesting ecological/organic farm. The way they take care of their land, the way they take care of their cows, dogs, pigs...it is just amazing and the way the perform on TV. The Mandelmann family seems to be one of the most humble families that I know about, it is an absolute pleasure to stream the show here to the US and watch all the duties they perform on the farm. I don't think that the locals really understand what a fantastic place this really is and how much work they have put into this farm, it is an amazing place.
My wife and I went to visit this summer and (we have been on their beautiful land many times before) and it was so fun to see their garden up close, to see the piglets play in the dirt (soil). I did chat with Marie and she was very nice (as expected) and we spoke about how to design a garden.
My feeling though is that is becoming a bit too commercialized and I really don't even know where I personally would draw the line to be honest. Lots of visitors, really difficult to drive on that narrow road and to find a parking lot.
It is for sure a very special place that I would highly recommend to visit.

It is apparently Sweden's largest winery for storage, processing and packing of wine for this market. Situated little away from city centre, they provide the guided tour of their facility. They don't make wine there in true sense meaning that they import raw wine and then do all the downstream process. Tour starts with a short movie about the process in their restaurant. Guided tours are not cheap but they are a different experience. They give 5 wines as tasters after the tour.

Museum is situated in the heart of the busy city centre. It is relatively small and has a Carl Linneaus inspired garden at the entrance, which is free to the public. It is largely dedicated to the history of this area both ancient and modern. It has exhibits depicting the life and culture in this small town. Basically it provides a eye to the life and times of the region through photographs, textiles, archives, models and other artefacts. If you have time, I would recommend it to spend a hour or two.
