Pleasant trip on a train with a steam locomotive. Travels through the countryside. There are many people along the way taking pictures of the train. Its fun to expense train travel from a time when you could open the windows and the countryside move by at a leisurely pace.

This park was beautiful many trees (ex. Gingko trees) that provided a nice cover from the summer heat! There is also a spot for some water actvities and a pool/slide area that you can bring a tent/canopy to and enjoy the day. Restrooms are clean and there are areas to purchase drinks and snacks.

The shrain has 2 gods which is good for love and money. In 5 minutes on foot, there is a spot you encounter to see the view with cherry blossom, rape blossoms and SL train on weekend in April .

真岡と二宮尊徳って、どんな関係があるのって思ったら、傾いた真岡村の再建を託されたんだそうだ❗だから道の駅にのみやってこと。何でも揃う便利なお店だ。

日本一大きいとされる高さ20mの大きなえびす様が鎮座する神社。「宝くじがあたる神社」としても有名で、全国から参拝客が訪れるそうです。神社の横には五行川が流れ、梅がほんのり咲いていました。御本殿の彫刻も美しく、なかなか見所の多い神社です。

Kubo Memorial Tourist Cultural Exchange Center

真岡市街地の中心部にある、古い商家と蔵を改装して造った複合観光施設で、蔵は美術館やレストランとして使われています。交流館のそばに駐車場があり、少し離れたところに第二駐車場もありますので、気軽に立ち寄ることができます。美術館は小さいですが、無料でアートに触れることができました。

This summer festival is held on a three-day weekend (Sat., Sun., & Mon.) Is late July. The two nights of the festival feature a fireworks show on the Gogyo River, set against young men carrying portable shrines across the river in the stirring Mikoshi no Kawatogyo ritual. About 2,000 starmines and other fireworks are launched one after another to music and a laser light show, bringing the festive atmosphere to a fever pitch. The parades of festival floats and hardcarved wooden floats during the day are also a highlight.

とにかくど迫力のハイテク花火大会です。
BGMもあまりなく、花火以外の演出のない長岡や大曲のような歴史ある大花火大会の方がどちらかというと純粋に花火を楽しむという点では好きですが、こちらはこちらで、超ハイテク花火大会も一見の価値十二分にあります。
かがり火の中、みこしを担いだ男性の集団が五行川を渡る神輿川渡御のあと、花火が打ち上げられますが、みこしとレーザー光線の落差が複雑でした。

ちょっと田舎の素朴な感じがいい感じのところでした。
すぐ脇を機関車が煙を吐いて通るのをちょうど見ることが出来たので良かったです。
ダチョウの卵を持たせてもらったりしたのでとても良かったです。
すぐ近くに日本一の恵比寿様があります

Sontoku Natsu Matsuri

The Sontoku Natsu Matsuri is held every summer in Mooka, Tochigi (previously Ninomiya) at the river Terrace in Kinugawa Park. Visitors can come in contact with a variety of traditional cultural displays here, which has been the site of Sontoku Taiko drum Performances, folk entertainment, and Bon Festival dances since times long past. There are nearly 100 vendor stalls at the festival grounds and a fireworks display caps off the summer festival when night falls. Jumbo fireworks like extra-large chrysanthemums and no. 10S (30 cm/12 in diameter) take center stage in a display that lights up the night sky with around 10,000 shells, as the Sontoku Taiko Preservation Society drives the festival to a climax with a recital contest that fills the air with the bold sounds of Taiko drums.

真岡市の夏祭りでフィナーレの花火大会は10,000発規模が打ち上げられます。
会場の鬼怒川河川敷内は、堤防沿いに芝生が広がり、ゆったりと花火観賞ができます。
花火大会前は盆踊りや出店も多く、地元の子供たちも楽しみにしている夏祭りです。
花火は駐車場も無料で多く開放していますが、早い目に行かないと交通規制等で
駐車難民になりかねないので、早い目早い目の行動が安心です。

SLを形どった巨大な真岡駅舎内に併設された情報受発信拠点。4階はSLギャラリーになっており真岡線やSL関係の展示のほか、展望デッキがあり、SL列車を眺めることができました。
