O lugar é simples, mas parece limpo. A comida estava gostosa, mas nada de mais (a carne do bife, por exemplo, não era macia). Típica comida mineira gordurosa - se você é fã, então esse é o seu lugar. O preço é alto (cerca de cem reais o prato), então só vale a pena se o prato for dividido entre várias pessoas.

We were walking around town with a guide and asked him for a nice place to eat Mineiro food. He gave us a few options and told us that many people enjoy the food in Rancho da Praca. So we went in and were not disappointed. The buffet is good and they have a wide selection of dishes. I'm not sure how the food is cooked (we didn't ask), but it is kept warm on a wood fire, as is the Mineiro tradition. This adds a lovely touch to the good food. Price is okay, but not cheap.

I ate two times at Lua Cheia. It's in the historical part of the city, the price is good (specially in comparison to the prices of the restaurants in Ouro Preto), and the staff is polite. I have only one advise to offer: be careful, this kind of food looks so good that sometimes we exaggerate. These traditional dishes have an important amount of fat, and can be a bit heavy to people used to lighter food.
Comi lá duas vezes. Está no centro histórico, o preço é bom (sobretudo, se comparado com os de Ouro Preto), e a equipe é educada. Um conselho: vão com calma, pq tem bastante gordura nesse tipo de comida e exagerar pode não ser muito bom...

The place seems to be nicely designed but red lightening is not that fun. Food is average and almost every dish comes with fries. It is more like a snack bar than a restaurant. They did not have gas to serve tapped beer on a Saturday night.

Uai, Zé! is a simple but outstanding place. This is where the locals go to have a typical and delicious Brazilian food. The service is also above the average and you can see from the management (English spoken) lots of passion to provide a very good gastronomic experience. During the day they offer the traditional Brazilian buffet and during the night a La Carte. Highly recommended for travelers on budget who want to have a nice and simple meal!

Eu fico salivando só de escrever esta avaliação. Estive em Mariana, e é a segunda vez que almoço neste restaurante. Simplesmente com uma comida maravilhosa, cozinha mineira. O restaurante fica em um lindo casarão histórico, com uma linda visão da praça arborizada, onde está localizado. Além de ficar próximo das atrações históricas da cidade de Mariana. A recepção feita pelos atuais responsáveis foi excelente - nos levaram para conhecer a cozinha, fomos apresentados para os funcionários, nos foram mostrados os pratos, falaram sobre a forma de fazê-los, deram dicas, e toda atenção. Estão de parabéns. Um buffet bem diversificado.

The restaurant offers a good variety of Arabic cuisine options. The menu brings a number of combo options (with three small portions each of them). You can assemble your own combo as well. If you are hungry, include in the combo the fried kibe (they will give you two of them). The prices are ok considering the quality of the ingredients and the service is good. They open only for dinner.

Fomos a esse restaurante por indicação do TripAdvisor. O local estava lotado. A comida é "tipo" mineira, mas MUITO fraca. O tropeiro estava péssimo. Alguns pratos totalmente sem sal, outros muito salgado. Enfim, uma decepção. Não indico.

A Pizzaria é simples. O cardápio de pizza é o tradicional. Nada demais. O preço bem razoável (49,00 pizza grande - julho 2017). Boa opção.
