I and the whole of my family member were very very impressed by the view from the lookout point, which comes after 20+ minutes of mountain trail walk. The view on the village changes literally every second depending of the movement of the cloud in the sky that is triggered by wind... Its movement represents nature's wonder and we reminded ourselves how small we are in front of nature...
This is a kind of view that you could never be able to see anywhere else in Japan. Recommended.

不動滝を見に行った帰りに寄った日帰り温泉施設。
高台にあり、駐車場からは南アルプスの雄大な景色が堪能できる。
お風呂は、単純弱放射能泉という泉質でちょっとビビる。 が、過去何度も入っていて、全然問題ない！お風呂は、大浴場（内湯）、ジェット、寝湯、サウナ、露天があり、湯温は42℃弱と思われる温かさで快適。

As the first agenda of our visit to Tenryukyo, we got Tenryu Line Kudari boat ride from small river port just aside of JR Tenryukyo station. The ride itself was not too bad and we enjoyed near-water cool breeze during the 1h travel on the boat. The tour guide lady went together with us on the boat kept taking on microphone and that impaired a bit of our time enjoying our quiet time, in our opinion.
There is a nice walking trail goes around the highlight places of the gorge near the Tenryukyo station and it takes little shorter than 1h. My reco is that you take this walk first before you hop on the boat because it will help you fully enjoy the nice views from river surface.
It costs ¥3,900 per person, excluding your JR train ride from the boat ride terminal location called Kasamatsu Kou to back to Tenryukyo station. It only costs ¥190 per person. But if you boat ride does not meet appropriate train departure time from Kasamatsu cho, they will give you free shuttle bus serine back to Tenryukyo kyo.

桜といえば、学校、お寺、川の土手などに多く植えられていますが、高森南小の桜は日本一の学校桜という異名をとります。高台にある校庭の周囲に桜が植えられています。関係者以外立ち入り禁止ですが、とても懐かしい感じがする場所です。

This is a must to visit site in the region. A very historical temple that comes in compact size that make it easy to see around. This temple is the original temple of the famous Zenkoji temple in the city of Nagano. The sacred, central statue of the temple had been the one what is worshipped at Zenkoji temple for today.
Highly recommend to visit and spend an hour there, which should be enough.

being a free zoo, its no wonder this zoo can't sustain itself. Its sad to see primates, our close relatives, being crammed in tiny cages. The exhibits are way too small. You shouldn't keep large birds in small cages. Or racoons in small, concrete enclosure. Some of the animals were continuously walking in a circle, a sign of stress. This zoo is in terrible condition. Shut it down

井伊直虎ゆかりの松源寺に行ったので松岡城址をひと回りしてきました。伊那谷の段丘の上に佇む城址は保存も良く、堀の跡も残っています。意外と広くて柿畑もあり秋を満喫しました。山城の松岡城の本丸跡からは伊那谷や天竜川のも望める場所にありまし。
