When our itinerary said we were going to visit a transport museum, I almost yawned! How wrong I was! My husband is a bit of a petrol head, so he adored it - I'm not, and I did too. Apart from our group, there didn't seem to be many other visitors which is a shame, as it is a fascinating musuem. So much to see, and with something of interest for everyone. A hidden gem waiting to be discovered. There's also a pleasant cafe for snacks and drinks.

Pinjore Gardens

Reviewed By rahulajmera - Pune, India

The Pinjore Gardens have a nominal paid entry. Parking is available in plenty too.
The Gardens are well maintained and clean. In the morning, the Fountains were not working properly. Also there was a lack of signages and information about the history of the garden and it's structures.
It consists of a series of smaller Gardens situated at a lower height like Steps of Gardens.
The restaurant outside serves good paranthas and the Chole Kulche on the road opposite the entrance are also quite delicious.
Overall, it's a good place for a picnic. Children would love the open spaces here.

Firstly I would say that our two night stay in November was the most memorable and interesting of our 17 days in India, The Singh family could not have been more welcoming. Interesting discussions on many topics over drinks in the garden and at meal times, The walk in the village gave a real insight into rural life, - meeting friends and relatives of the family and trying my hand at pot making. The tour around the countryside by car was great. The rice harvest, the amazing hospital for over 6000 cows and various agricultural projects.
At 82 I did not feel able to take part in many of the varied activities on offer but younger visitors would find much to enjoy over several days.
My wife enjoyed chapatti making in the kitchen but we found the true Indian food a little challenging. Likewise the domestic arrangements took a bit of getting used to. Plumbing defects, the hard mattress etc, but we were assured this would be put right.
The many memories we have will be treasured. - the beautiful sunset, the bird life. the impressive farm buildings and the warm friendship.
A big "THANK YOU" to all.
