Not knowing how tough the climb was going to be - we were initially ambivalent as mid 50ers in good shape. However we realized this was not a major concern when we saw elderly individuals with canes who had reached the top! Steps were uneven in places but a handrail was available for 90% of the way. All of this was a moot point when you reach the summit platform and see the incredible view of the Li River and the numerous mountain peaks - just spectacular! Don’t miss it!

Get to the scenic area of the Yulong river, hire bicycles or e-bikes or simply hike the area and enjoy great views along this river at the base of a range of limestone karsts. there are lovely little surprises along the way, in the form of local village life, excellent little hotels, boutique and rustic country style, and little coffee shops that will delight you with their menu choices.

Visited Qingxiu Mountain during winter and it was awesome! The park is well managed with beautiful landscaping and many photo points. Beyond that, it is simply a great place for a workout, be it a jog, brisk walk or simply yoga by the lake. The entire area is so huge that I did not manage to finish it and I'll definitely be back again to explore more! Definitely a great place to relax, exercise, breathe the fresh air and be at peace with nature.

Fantastic views from the top. Possible the most amazingly beautiful views in Yangshou County. Photographers haven. But to get to the top, you have to ascend a little over 300 metres.

This is truly a strolling park with many tourists observing the sites. Many lighted statues, water features, walkways, bridges, etc.

Day and Night view is so different, Night view is highly recommended as all the strategic locations and landscape were well lit with modern LEDs yet keeping the surrounding clean (yes cleaned) and unpolluted. A mega change in Guilin over last 10 years.

The lightings in the cave seek to enhance the experience and the guide does a wonderful job in explaining the shapes and history of the rock formations. Not sure if there are guides who conduct in languages other than Mandarin. Only part that I didn't like was the Tortoises cave. A side cave was set aside to display Tortoises and a couple of them was swimming in shallow water with coins and even notes floating in the water. That animal abuse. The rest of the cave is a good way to spend a couple of hours.

We arrived early in the morning before the crowds of tourists arrive and just as the locals were out doing their daily shopping, and setting up tables with food and craft items to sell. The narrow houses, shops & temple lined streets along the river were great for exploring and catching a glimpse of a way of life that is quickly disappearing. On our way back to town we stopped at a road side table and bought some delicious fresh strawberries.
