Special mention to Amanda, who has always been incredibly helpful to us. It is a great comfort for me to know that even though I can not be there in person, my family still had a beautiful, pleasant and warm Chinese New Year celebration. Great accommodation, food, service and value
Reviewed By uwehH3893YDStayed here twice now, October 2021 and February 2022. Bedrooms are large, clean and comfortable. Restaurant area is also large and the food is great with a selection of Chinese and Western meals. Outstanding views over the valley and some of the terraces. We loved walking around the quaint, lived in village where there are also some excellent restaurants. Truly peaceful. It's a great location for short walks both around and through the village, and across to neighbouring villages for the more adventurous. The terraces themselves were amazing both times we went. Best thing of all is the service from the owner/operators - just a wonderful and kind family who speak good English. We stayed for 3 nights on each occasion as it is such an enjoyable break from the busier parts of China.

The location of the hotel itself is perfect - right beside the river with stunning views all round. The food was excellent - we didn't feel the need to go outside the hotel, which is very unusual for us - and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. All in all an excellent holiday - as soon as travel becomes possible again, we will return!

Wonderful and friendly hotel in Yangshuo
Reviewed By Mir-HWThe Bamboo Leaf hotel is a super friendly, comfortable hotel close to Yangshuo centre. Staff is super friendly, speaks English. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, with nice balconies overlooking the mountains. Food is good, many different choices. Mostly western but also some local Chinese options. It’s a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the centra, along the river. We stayed here in the days around New Year. It was cold in Yangshuo, but the AC can heat the room well enough to make if comfortable. And also the restaurant was most of the time nicely warmed. In the summer the rooftop restaurant must be amazing!! Staff is very supportive in arranging activities, driver, bikes are for free and they even took us for the NAT test we needed upon return home (and they collected the report the next day and paid for the test). We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Yangshuo.

Our location in the old neighborhoods of Guilin. Connected to local life. Zen tea house Art zen-style rooms and great hospitality services. City center and seven star park are within 10-25 minutes’ walking distance.around the house there’s many local restaurant/street food. Guests at the zen tea house are only 40 minutes journey from Guilin airport, 15 minutes from Guilin central train station. The zen style rooms each feature a modern flat-screen TV,There are also bathrooms, and windows letting in plenty of natural light.

Bei unserer vorherigen Reisestation hatte sich einer von uns den Fuß verletzt. Wir wurden sofort umsorgt und sie halfen uns alles Nötige zu besorgen. Darüber hinaus bei späteren Problemen zur Seite gestanden. Sie haben uns die Gegend gezeigt, mit kulturellen Besonderheiten bekannt gemacht, mehrmals sogar zum Essen eingeladen und den Aufenthalt trotz aller Schwierigkeiten, die wir hatten zum besten der ganzen Reise gemacht. Dabei haben sie uns auch mit traditionellen Gerichten ethnischer Minderheiten in Guilin bekannt gemacht. Auch bei Ausflügen und Mitbringseln haben sie uns hervorragend beraten und bei der Organisation geholfen. Solche tollen Gastgeber hatten wir noch nie! Wir würden das Hostel jedem empfehlen, der eine herzliche Atmosphäre genießen möchte und Interesse an tiefen Einblicken in chinesische Kultur (auch der der Minderheiten) hat. Vielen vielen Dank für alles! Ihr seid super! Now more or less the same thing in English ? At the end of August 2019 the two of us visited Guilin for a few days and I must say, we were absolutely in love with the city and the hostel! (Sorry that the review is so late, sadly, we never got to write it earlier) At our former destination one of us hurt their foot, but right away when we arrived our hosts tended to it and looked after us very sweetly. Even when further problems occurred, they were by our side. They showed us sites of Guilin we might not have experienced without them, showed us where and what the locals and ethnic minorities eat, moreover, invited us a few times for lunch and dinner. They gave us thoughtful and valuable advice with trips and souvenirs and helped us organising many things! Even though we’ve had a few difficulties, they made it the best travel experience of the whole trip! We’ve never had hosts like this before! We would like to recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to enjoy a lovely atmosphere and is interested to get a deeper look into Chinese culture(s). Thank you so much for everything! We will never forget our time in Guilin!

In the tiny village Aishanmen, close to the scenic Yulong river only 5 km west from tourist hotspot Yangshuo, we renovated traditional yellow brick farmer houses into a beautiful inn. The courtyard is breathtaking. Our atmospheric restaurant and terrace with scenic views give travelers the chance to breathe fresh air again. In April 2013 we have opened our outdoor swimmingpool. Why stay in the city, when the countryside is so amazing!
Pleasant stay in the nature
Reviewed By Enrico1505I spent 4 nights with some friends during the Golden Week. The place is really nice and the staff very kind and ready to help. It is a quite place very close to the river and the rice fields. It is not far from the town either but you will need to take a scooter or a taxi to get there. I am so glad that I did not stay somewhere downtown because it is too crowded and noisy for my taste. The hotel is also quite clean and the restaurant is not bad at all. We enjoyed a lot our breakfasts in the outside area. I would recommend the place as it is also a great value for money!

The rooms are great and have everything you need for a comfortable stay, the staff are super-friendly and speak good English and the food is excellent from the restaurant. Definitely a 5 star experience.

Reviewed By kriss850This is a truly incredible hotel! The owners treat you as if you are one of their family. They went out of their way to accommodate our every need and and to make us feel relaxed and at home. When we checked in, the owner noticed that we were travelling with our infant daughter so upgraded us to a family suite. When checking out, we left the room in a bit of a rush and forgot a couple of items (including my wedding ring!!). The owner searched the room up and down for them and happily had them delivered to our next location. The food is excellent as well. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Reviewed By Jayne OFirstly I have to say this is a beautiful hotel surrounded by the gorgeous mountains and next to the river. However they need to treat their grass for fire ants. I got badly stung all over my feet when I walked on it.
