Heidekastell Iserhatsche

It is almost impossible to describe Iserhatsche. We had no idea what we were going to see when we decided on this visit but,as soon as we entred, there was the "wow" factor and this remained with us throughout our 5 hour visit.
Iserhatsche the "Neuschwanstein des Nordens" - "Berg der Sammelleidenschaften" is simply awesome and one has to see it to appreciate its uniqueness.
Iserhatsche is open all year round and the visist starts with a guided tour of the grounds, the Jagdschloss which is still the family home and the Montagnetto with all its fascinating collections. It's not just a museum but also used for civil wedding ceremonies and many other celebrations.
We were lucky enough to be guided through the Jagdschloss by the owner and learnt many interesting facts and we found him a most interesting character with a unique sense of humour.
After the guided tours one is able to explore the buildings and Gardens at leisure and there are surprises waiting round every corner.
Everything is very well maintained and the Weide-Wald- Haus- Cafe offers home-baked cakes, coffee/tea and drinks at reasonable prices. One can also leave the venue to eat in the village and then return to explore this wonderland further.
Dogs are not allowed and Iserhatsche is not really suitable for very young children or the disabled.
An unforgettable day and definitely worth a visit.

Majority of hyped German WWII vehicles were there (WWII focus is rather clear, but you have examples of more modern tanks and APCs there). I guess you have to know your staff when you enter, as English descriptions would be insufficient for someone who is an absolute beginner to the subject. You can climb inside a single tank. I guess a more interactive profile would engage you more, as we were surprised we completed the tour in about an hour, not counting in a coffee.

Heide Park

Spend a day at the huge amusement park, Heide Park. There are kiddie rides, thrill rides, shows and restaurants. Children should not miss the adventure playground. The season runs from the end of March through November.

First trip to Heide Park and enjoyed it. Its a merlin park so its very similar to Alton Towers but much better than Thorpe Park.
Some of the rides are very modern with a similar ride to swarm at Thorpe Park and Oblivion at Alton Towers. The queues were very small on the Thursday but noticeably longer on Friday. They also have a few unique rides - Bob Bahn being the closest most of us will get to a bob sled - may favourite ride.
We stayed at the onsite "Holiday Park" which basically glorified camping in a wooden shed. Nothing wrong with it at all. The all inclusive food buffet for dinner and breakfast was good and the kids enjoyed the play area. If you like camping e.g communal showers and toilets then this will be fine. If you don't then maybe the hotel is a better option.
We enjoyed out stay - it was the kids third visit and they still liked it
If you like Alton Towers you will like this place. Worth a trip if visiting Germany. Very close to centre parcs as well if you are visiting there.

The Wildpark is in a lovely location in a forest. Parking at the attraction is free, entry is €9.50 per adult and is great value for money. Once inside there are places to eat and there are plenty of toilet facilities throughout the park. There is also a gift shop.
The route through the park is an easy stroll. Even though they are mostly written in German, the maps, routes and information boards are easy to follow.
There are several areas of the park where you are in with the animals, especially the deer. Food ( for the deer) is available for purchase from vending machines for €1 for a box.
On the whole a great day out, good value for money with lots to see. Although we were not visiting with children it was clear to see that other families were enjoying the interaction with the animals.
Would highly recommend.

Heidegarten im Hoepen

We found the Heidegarten (in English: Moor Garden) when looking for a good place to explore the Lüneburg moor landscape. Having a few months old baby, it was clear that one of the typical bicycle tours or long hikes is not really a good option for us.
The garden itself shows all the variety of the plants typical for the moor in a small area. Next to it is an observation tower and a nice restaurant in a pretty old farm building. Here you can also book a ride through the moor in a horse-drawn carriage or choose one of the several walking paths through the moor landscape. Each of the paths is described by length, elevation, and level of difficulty, and there are clear signs so it would be hard to get lost on the way.
We chose one of the shortest paths and had a wonderful 1,5 hour walk through the moor and the fields while the baby was peacefully sleeping in the carrier and getting some fresh air.

The snow dome is a great place to visit. Competitive prices compared to the Uk Chill factor. If the snow slopes does not appeal plenty of other fun activities a few meters away. Relax outside by the outdoor water wave pool hire a surf board and ride the waves in the Sunshine. We visited over Easter weekend. Great place for thrill seekers.

It was a really interesting experience. After buying the ticket(which was 6 Euro for adults and 4 Euro for children up to 16), first thing to do is taking your shoes out and putting them in a free locker. Then your bare feet adventure starts :)
The park is really big with different paths and various weird mud stations that you have to go in:) There are glass, cork and some other type of stations too. Also a long walk thorough the forest. The most interesting (and maybe disgusting?) ones are the mud stations though. I didn't see anybody who goes in and doesn't make a weird face :) However they were all part of the fun and good for your feet. We enjoyed our time there.
Near the lockers there are hoses and scrubbers for cleaning up, but nothing for drying your feet. So don't forget to bring some wipes.
Great activity for families. If you don't take any shortcuts, then its gonna take at least 2,5-3 hours to finish the original path. So if you don't like to walk fast, are with children or would like to take breaks often, then consider to spare at least 4 hours for this activity.

I get used to Visit Metzingen, Stuttgart. This Outlet is smaller but not too bad. I found desigual stuffs and my husband got his Mustang jeans. The best Price was fantastic. What a pitty that we didn't find anything for our kids. Anyway, they were happy with the playground and the shopping (Car) cart.
Tip: those who'll visit and may be hungry can stop at Asia Hung restaurant.
